So we're all teens and we all go thru the crap society tells us we're supposed to. but really, isn't there just that point when you'd just like to step outside of your body for a minute or two, and just examine the world from a freer, less complicated view? And what about that school work, and the bf and gf thing, and the sex and drugs thing, and just sooo many other things that affect us. How are we expected to live in today's society and be happy? Are we expected to be happy? is it even possible to be happy at all? Has happiness just become some sort of abstract term that we use to refer to an absolute which we can never attain. What the hell are we going to do to change the sick and sorry world we see around us? How are we going to make this difference?
What of poverty and sickness and all of the other seriously sad stuff going on around us?And who really cares anyway? it doesnt even seem like anyone cares what happens to the poor hungry children of lebanon or the ostracised mothers of pakistan. and with so mant things gone wrong, are we really expected to right them all. Do people really expect us to solve all the problems that they throw on our shoulders? who's your role model now? is it even logical anymore to have one? and what about all those dreams that you've had for so long bottled up inside of you? who sees those? who cares? who comes and lets you know that your dreams are worth something and that you can see them happen and come true if you just hold on. Is that just some fairy tale crap, am i being sadistic, or just unrealistic? who gives a a damn about us, really, as youth? and who will look out for you if not yourself? what philosophy is best to live by? look out for number one always, and leave it at that? Is that the sort of world we want to live in. or is it what we ahave to live in? do we havea choice nowadays, or are we just fooling ourselves? and what is freedom? can anyone ever really be free? is it possible to achieve a state if freedom? has it ever been possible? I'm asking the questions i believe we all need to answer at some point. This is about us as youth, where we're headed,and how we plan to get there. It's about life and the issues we will have to face and how we will deal with them. It's about me and you, as noisemakers,and the noise we ought to be making versus the noise we want to be making versus the noise we are maikng. What are the issues here people? let me know what's important to you, i'm listening.

NB ISnt it funny though, how we say all the international news and current affairs are important to us, but never actually put ourselves on the top priority list? Like, if i asked u what is REALLY important to you, u'd say sumthingnoble like, "World peace", even though in the back of your mind, you know that it's really your dreams and future that takes or should take precedence over everything else?

I just want the best possible life for my self maybe with a family in a place I love, Doing a job I love doing and I need to work my ass off then and I need to do it now I just wish i could enjoy life a little more.

The drugs, alcohol, sex, bf/gf thing, its all real things that effect our lives...its prob b/c of peer pressure that teens live hectic lives. College is very competitive. High School is very competitive...Both of which are socially and educationally competitive...we all want the latest ipod, clothes, whatever it maybe, we want to keep up with the jones's. We want to have a bf/gf b/c our friends have and their friends have one. Im a tired person right now with the clothes I want to buy (not abercrombie, but other stuff). Its even harder when you live in a rich community, with smart kids...COMPETITION...survival of the fittest. My A average and I want to take that to a state school, why? I dont know, it might be the money, it might be i dont want the ivy league school, but if I did get into one, that would be a very nice thing. Will working our asses off now payoff? will it matter that we spend time working on papers and studying for exams? I hope to G-d that it does.
