I lost my virginity at 13...I'm 17 now so I've been having sex for like 4 years. I've always used tampons b/c I dance and well you can't wear a pad lol. However last month I changed brands and started using Tampax Pearl. Everyone was telling me how comfy they were and how much better they were for protection. I used it a couple times and it kinda hurt but I brushed it off as using a new product. However, I couldn't get any size to be comfortable and when I tried to use the old brand it still hurt. A couple weeks later my bf and I started to have sex and it hurt like hell! I don't understand what's going on?? Has this happened to anyone else? How do I make it stop? ~Serena~

Some tampons can cause irritation. That's probably why. The skin is tender due to irritation from the tampon, meaning that when you have sex, it will hurt. Switch back to pads for awhile, it'll keep the irritation from staying. Ask your doctor for other tips on how to make the pain go away. Avoid sex as well, it'll probably keep it irritated the more often you have sex.
