To everybody who think that because they are really short they can't do anything....you are wrong. I am in 10th grade and I am 4'5"...I like being short and I think just because you are short doesn't mean people can pick on you. I am sick of it but hey...short people ROCK! Being Tall is also really good. But I wouldn't know because I am short...YAY

You know, the author of this thread is right: Height is not an issue.

However...by creating this thread, he has made it an issue.

Hmmm....

I am 15--a soph in HS and 5'2 and 3/4 (i have to get that 3/4 in!). I am short, just like many others in my grade. Many take growth hormones (sp?) to get taller, and they are getting taller...I asked my Dr. and he said it wasn't right for me and that it was silly to do...whatever

I'm 16 years old and 5'1. It really doesn't help me at all because i have a really young looking face, so overall i look like i'm about 13, it kind of sucks getting asked if i want the kids menu and the 12 and under ticket at the movies haha but other than that it's not bad. I like being little because it makes me feel more girly and plus it makes me look cute, so even though i'm not really that pretty, because i'm so little everyone thinks i'm cute haha.

Here's a weird thing though, one of my best friends is only about 4'10 and the other is exactly my height. So i somehow subconsciously surround myself with people littler than i am...strange...

But yeah, being short's not that bad, besides if it bothers anyone that much then just get yourself some big spice girl platform shoes!

When I 'make fun' of my friend for being short, I don't really mean it, I mean, your right, height is not an issue.

height doesn't matter. I am a female, and i am 6"1. I get it all the time cause i'm so tall, but it doesn't matter. my best frioend is 5"4, and we look pretty mismatched walking down the halls together, but it doesn't matter. all of us are what we are, and it doesn't matter what we look like, what we weigh, or how tall we are, it is about what is on the inside. and it doesn't matter if you are 2 feet tall or 20 feet tall, you can do anything if you believe you can!

sex, drugs, rock n' roll, speed, weed, birth control, lifes a biatch and then you die, so f*** the world and lets get high.

Sunset I'm sure you're perfectly gorgeous in your own way.

I have several friends that are of larger-than-average height (over 6 feet), and several friends that are of shorter-than-average height (under 5'3") and it bothers ME when people are like "you're so tall" or "you're so short!"

But what annoys me most is when people ask them WHY they're the particular height they are.

And for the record, I am about 5'7"..

Just remember I'm human, too.

I think it's a conversation thing. People use it when they run out of things to say or they can't think of anything to say. In those cases it's not meant to be spiteful.

In truth, being tall can be pretty annoying. People constantly inform you you're tall, just in case you forget.

I noticed; not your usual posting style there.

Anywho, I'm afraid my kids will be tall, because my mom is as tall as I am, but my dad is almsot 7 feet tall, so if I marry a guy who's tall, my kids are gonna be tall. Creepy.

Still, being short has its advantages. At least, if you're a girl, I don't know how it's like for a guy.

Sorry about that...as you can probably tell, that was just me being a **** for the sake of being a ****. Not that it changes the fact that I'm tall, and you guys aren't.

Thank you Aguagon, I am 5 feet tall exact.

Then again, I am pretty... so my height is not an issue.

I wish I had the exact stastistic, but I read in a magazine that the average American woman is 5'3", and for every inch taller than 5'3" a woman is, her average annual salary will be something like an additional 5% over a 5'3" woman's. Of course, neither of us are women, but I figure the male stastic would be something similar.

Which isn't to say short people can't be successful, just that they probably won't.

God I love being tall.

*Waits for the short people to attack*
