I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of everclear? I was wondering what it was and if it was an illegal drug.

i just wanted to know, because my first roomate always talked about it and I wanted to know what it was. But now she is gone, so it doesn't really matter.

makes sense... tastes similar to vodka... only a bit more burning and then numbing.

There is also a 75.5% (151 proof) version of everclear. The 75.5% is available in states where the 95% (190 proof) version is illegal. Everclear is officialy classefied as vodka.

it's a joke because by the time you've mixed it to the point where you can tolerate the taste it's not worth it.

everclear is an alcoholic beverage with a very high alcohol content... 95% as Dr. Strangelove stated. (great movie by the way). i like it. you take one mouthful and youre drunk. mixes surprisingly well with chocolate milk.

It's basically grain alchohol and nothing else. That is, 95% ethanol. They can't really make it any stronger due to the alcohol evaporating. In some states it's sale is illegal, but it's not a narcotic drug.
Normal hard liquors are usually more like 40-50% ethanol, some are slightly higher depending on type and brand.

In general I think Everclear is a gimmick and a terrible waste of money. Bring me the scotch!
