Yes, if she chose to be straight than her sexual preference is for males, her sexual orientation is bisexual due to her choice. What do those questions have anything to do with my comment, rugar? I mean, what or how does my being an animal rights-believer or being a real person have to do with where you live?

Pardon? Are you saying that in response to Freedom's comment? I don't think a robot could come up with as well-thought out answers as most of us do if we weren't all real people.

How do I know that you're not a animal rights person? How do I know you that you are a real person?

Oh yeah, you can. Come on, I'm an all right guy. Besides, it's not like I'm going to be showing up anytime soon. And we're both old enough. If it's that you don't want it floating around the internet, just NM it to me. And for the record, rugar is bisexual.

I'll have to make a note of that.
When I actually go to the library again I'll try and remember to look some books up.
But for now and probably forever I'm gonna say that gays do choose to be gay.

You did not read all of that in 16 mintues and reply in other topics at the same time. Try again. But I must say, I feel as if we're getting somewhere. You may not be so dumb after all. If you're still confused, do your own research. That's what I did. I can't give you all the answers, unfortunately. But other sources, like books, definitely can.

This my friends, is a perfect example of Christians taking things out of context. The point of that article is this: People choose their partners but not their orientation, due to PHEROMONES. That whole article shows how sexual attraction is uncontrollable. Its a chemical reaction in the brain. Read everything. Learn from it. Do you even know what subconsious means? It means under-consciousness. Or thought you can't control or think about.

quote: OK then since ya'll have soooooo much so called proff that some people are born gay and they don't choose to be. Show me! I would like to see what ya'll come up with.
WE SHOWED YOU. YOU SIMPLY IGNORED IT. quote: Gays do not and can not choose to be gay. What causes sexual attraction is an odorless chemical called a Pheromone. The Pheromone is secreted by a person's skin, it carries into the air, hits the Olfactory gland in the nose of another person and causes a chemical reaction in the brain, which then causes sexual arousal. Nobody has control over whether they're attracted to male or female Pheromones. Female pheromones are constantly dancing around your nose, but your brain doesn't care. If a good looking male wafted his pheromones at you, you'd be attracted. With gay people, their brains don't care for the pheromones of those of the opposite sex. They have zero control over that. Just like I have zero control over my heterosexuality. I didn't choose to be straight, I just am. Can't you read? Here's more proof: http://salmon.psy.plym.ac.uk/year1/psychobiology_site_backups/homosexuality-debate/choice.htmlhttp://www.religioustolerance.org/hom_caus4.htm http://www.apa.org/pubinfo/answers.html http://www.lesbian.org/amy/essays/queer-choice.html

This is what I replied to you about in another topic concerning EG's link: quote: Rugar, they didn't choose to be gay, dammit. Wait, I'm being nice today. No, I think the article just meant that we are attracted to certain people for their characteristics. We are attracted to someone, and therefore choose to be with him/her, because we like certain traits.
You should be proud of me for self-editing my post. I felt bad. quote: Yes I choose very much to be straight.
Exactly what Blue said. But I, however, don't recall choosing my sexual orientation. EDIT: I unedited it, because I stopped feeling bad.

quote: Yes I choose very much to be straight.
Then why should you get more rights than a gay person? You both "chose" your orientation.

Yes I choose very much to be straight. Here is a little article I found that EG psted. Actually it's to a link she gave on another thing. Anyways I thought that it was interesting. Here it is. Choosing a Partner Now, when it comes to choosing a partner, are we at the mercy of our subconscious or do we make a more conscious decision? It is to our advantage to choose a partner with the best possible genes as these genes will be passed on to our children and ensure they are healthy. Therefore, we naturally seek out somebody with an immune system different to our own. Additionally, it is important to find a mate with whose genes are also similar enough to our own to confer a tried and tested immune system. Is this the reason we fancy those who remind us of our parents perhaps? When we are attracted to another person, it could be because we subconsciously like their genes. Here's the link that EG gave too. http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/Columnists/clairemcloughlincolumn1.htm

Because homosexuals on this site (and off) testify to not freaking choosing. And we like to go with the recessive gene and chemical imbalence deal. Where's you proof, my friend? Rugar, did you choose to be straight? Or, mayhaps, you are in denial yourself. More likely than not, you're just not going to answer again.
