I know that different people have different views on virginity and that losing it at a young age is wrong. And some say that there's nothing wrong about it. But, I know, as young as I am, I am not ready to start having sexual relations with nobody. I mean, I couldn't handle all the emotional stress that goes along with it and what if something goes wrong? What if I get pregnant? What if I catch an STD? Sex is something that everyone, whether they know it or not, should take seriously. And I value my virginity. Kids I know, my age or even much younger than me constantly talk about who they've been with and what they've done. And girls at my school get labeled as "that easy girl" every day. I think that girls shouldn't "just have sex" because they feel pressured to do it, or they think that "oh, well, everyone's doing it!". It doesn't make you cool, hot, or more desirable as a person. I look up to adults who have kept their virginity for that special person and/or 'til their wedding night. Because, you know for a fact, that their partner is with them for a whole other reason. Girls/guys, especially girls don't have to give it up on the first/second dates to stay with someone. And you shouldn't think that you have to either. And guys, don't think that you're not as good as anyone else because you didn't lose your virginity when you were 13! I am proud to see young males using their energy for something else besides sex. And today, it's hard to find a male thats over 16 and a virgin. It's becuase of all the peer pressure. Tv, movies, and magazines don't make it any better. A teenage girl-these days- is most likely to go to a party and end up "hooking up" or having sex than going out a group of friends to a movie. All I'm trying to say is take care of yourself. Don't just have sex because it sounds like fun. Don't throw your virginity away. -lasia

I totally agree. Even though I am against premarital sex because of my beliefs, even if I didn't believe the way I did, I would still be against it because of the possible physical consequences and the definite emotional consequences. I totally respect any guy that is a virgin and also any girl that is. I am a virgin and proud of it.
