I know that somewhere on here there is also another thing about smoking and all.
I thought that I'd put something on here about smoking that I found while reading a Family Fun mag. I do read more than just the Bible, for those of you who think that all I do is read the Bible. I do read other books and stuff.
Here it is: This is out of next month's Family Fun. Smoke Signals Children ages 10 to 14 are more likely to try smoking if they've seen actors doing it in movies. Researchers at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire, surveyed more than 6,500 kids and found that 10 percent had started smoking and as many as 38 percent of them did so in imitation of movies they'd seen. "Pay attention to movie ratings and restrict your child's access to R-rated films," suggested Linda Titus-Ernstoff,PH.D.,study co-author and a professor of community and family medicine. "In an earlier study, children who said that their parents were strict about not letting them watch R-rated movies were exposed to fewer smoking images and were less likely to try cigarettes."
I just thought that I'd put this here. Cause I know some of ya'll say that movies, video games and music have no effect on children.
I personally think that they do, but that's just me.
What ya'll think?
I hope that I put this on the right form too.
