do you even read the posts? one noted stereotype of americans is that they are fat and lazy - and that's because of the (mis)conception that americans are all wealthy and don't need to work. no one here is saying that they are indeed all fat and lazy.
yes, being nosey does include toppling governments and getting rid of dictators (although saddam was the only one done solely by america, the rest were allied largely through UN or NATO troops). being nosey also includes toppling democratic governments in central and south america (do you know how panama was created?), africa (the oil companies in nigeria), and the arming of isreal in the middle east with simultaneous arming of iran.
again, america has done a lot of good. but it's also done a lot of bad. and fair or not, that's why a lot of people hate us.

And you people upset about America (yes, it is America) being "nosey", you should consider what your saying. If being "nosey" is getting rid of oppressive evil regimes like the Taliban, Milosevic and Saddam then being "nosey" is freakin awesome. Keep it up.
And for all the jerks who say "americans are all fat and stupid", well sure there are some fat stupid Americans. Just like there are fat stupid Canadians and fat stupid Germans and fat stupid people from every country in the world.

Ok, I'm from California & I don't think America is arrogant (well not most of the time) & not all of us think we "own" the worls & were big shots. & some ppl were talking about saying "ruff" & not "roof" In California we say "roof"(my dog says "ruff") we don't have accents,unless you live on the beach we might say "dude" a lot...& have the "surfer" dude accent but I haven't really heard it. Well, if you want to get technical, Canadians are Americans since they live on the continent, and Mexicans are American since they live on an American continent. Too confusing, I suppose.
Ya. I'm Guatemalan. Wanna know what some people in my class think about americans? You sure? Really? Brace yourself. Really I'm gonna say it gently and not with the exact words or anything. And I don't exactly say this..... but some Americans are nosy and they don't know when to stop sticking their nose without of their business. Something that we don't like is that you say you are an American. Well someone from Mexico and Guatemala can say they are American too. We live in America don't we? But I don't think people from the U.S are bad, not at all. My grandma and grandpa were bloody farmers in Indiana. And I consider myself a 'gringa(spanish word for someone from the U.S)
bextherex, like i said below. im sry i flipped. it wasnt so much you but just everyone from the other countries saying things. no, i dont expect everyone to love us. but we're not exactly a "bully". i mean...we only went to war with the al quaida in afganistan for obvious reasons...and we went to war with saddam b/c he was hiding things from the UN and (no offense to anyone who think the UN actually does something) the UN wasnt doing anything about it. im not tryin to be arrogant or cocky, but those weapons he was hiding (which we have found, not all, but some, and if u dont believe me look it up caz some were hidden in one of the scientists front bushes) would have been used. they probably would have been used against us, and other countries that wenre muslim. it just kinda got me ticked me off to see ppl on here sayin it was wrong to go to war..which yea war is wrong..but if we didnt go to war with him, he would have used those weapons..and a war wouldve been created anyways.
