some things should be censored on the radio. you have to admit that some artists go overboard on the things that they say. if you really want to listen to a song without censorship, go buy the cd or get it off the internet. because the public radio is...well...public, censorship is necessary. i do however think that the radio goes a little overboard on what it censors. i mean there are times when everyone is going to know what the word is, when they block that it just ends up ruining a song. quote:

On public radio, yes. This the type of radio that you can build in your basement (FM/AM). However, 'satellite radio' shouldn't be censored in any way. It's then not a public service, but a contract signed between you and the business. The same with 'radio' on the internet.
Cheated the way from fringe to elite. Clique of stylists, rounded illogic skipping a beat to a dead cert. By lheaving charges and bursting the abscess, with a forked toungue, bloated with courage and spewing self-importance. Drop your sights, aim lower, leave umblemished those with real power.

I agree with IThinkTwice.
Music is a way to get things that you feel out for the world to hear. When they censor lyrics the song cannopt be heard as it should. If a song needs be censored because the FCC doesn't agree it should not be on the radio in the first place. Mind you, I believe they're harsh.

no. musical artists' purpose is to make the audience feel what they feel. to get a point across. without certain parts, its just another brainwashing media tune.
