I was looking around at all the drug and sex stuff and I was wondering if anyone was openly straight edge (no casual sex, drinking, or drug use) or even just openly against drugs alone? I'm straight edge and I get a lot of **** from my friends who are drug users (haha- I love you guys). Just wondering. Any hardc0rian straight-edgers?

I guess that I'm pretty straight-edge, but man a margarita sounds so good right now.

I drink, but not often at all, and if I do, it is usually inspite of myself. As for smoking, it discusts me. Sex, nope, still a virgin.

It depends on where you are, what straight edge means and what straight edge people are like. At my school, we're just people who think its stupid to drink, do drugs, or have casual sex. Not every straight edge person is a creepy cult/gang type.

Huh? Ok, I think I misunderstood the meaning of 'straight-edge' if it means this cult-type thing, or for religious reasons… I'm atheist. I don't label myself as anything particularly, I just happen to be really well-behaved.

i guess you could say i was. im alergic to cigarette smoke, and so is my mum. my friend smokes, and she knows that i dont like it. im not even tempted to pick up a cigarette or any drug. its just stupidly killing yourself slowly. i prefer the quick and interesting ways.

I may be a straightedger, but I don't do any hatecrimes against people that aren't.

People in the town I live in call it a cult. They say that straight-edgers go around spray-painting the sXe logo all over the place beating up kids if they think they have sex or if they see them smoking or dissing people that are straight-edge. I am not one but I do know plenty straight-edge members and about half of them I believe actually do the things they are accused of and more. There are a handful of past victims that have shown me their scars and bruises they've gotton after being attacked in the name of straight-edge. I think it's insane to let something supposedly formed for righteous reasons get out of hand to the point of hurting people that disagree with their ideals. I say if you are going to be drug and sex free do it for yourself and yourself only. To me straight-edge has lost all the valor and prestige they think they stand for.

I'm about at straight-edge as you can be, I guess. Never smoked, got drunk, done drugs, or kissed a guy (not like I'm exactly jumping for joy about that part…). I like my lifestyle and firmly believe you don't need drugs to have a good time (I've tried-and-tested that theory) but I'd hope I'm not preachy about it. Whatever makes you happy… Most of my friends are fairly straight-edge too, so I've never had to worry about peer pressure etc.

Yep I'm straight edge...and a question to all the other straight edge people...do you find that even if you aren't yelling at people for drinking or having sex, or anything, don't even talk to some people about the fact that you're straight edge, they make fun of you, even people you'd consider friends? I don't act like I'm better than anyone because I am, but people still can't deal with it...it makes me angry because while they're passing out at parties and getting pregnant, I'm actually doing something with my life, and they act like I'm the screwed up one?

I have never had sex, or oral sex, never done drugs, and never had a drink ( alcohol, don't make fun of me) not bcuz i think its wrong, but bcuz i think its dangerous and i don't want to.

Straightedge kids go far beyond even these emo goth kids in convincing themesleves of whatever they do. Beating people who dont agree up, etc, wow how cool and nice of them. Hypocritical little nazis...

I am a strait edge I guess too. I never had a beer, sex or drugs, but I'm not a perfect person or nething.

I would call myself straightedge. I believe sex is for marriage, but that's just me. I don't smoke, snort, or shoot-up anyhting. But I will have the occasional shot of Sangria or Peach Schnops, with my parents consent of course. So yeah, I would call myself pretty straightedge.

Absulutly. I believe in waiting until marriage for sex (mainly because of the pregency risk, I all ready met my soulmate), and I've never touched a glass of wine, let alone ciggerates/drugs. Since drug addiction runs in my family, I can get sort of odd and refuse to take tylenal. I'm not some weird extremist who hates people who do drugs though (though I do avoid people who do drugs because it brings back bad memories), I'm just sorta obsessed with what goes into my body, especially with the family history.

um yeah I have the same values as a straight edge person but it's not radical for me, like I'm not a punk, I'm a Christian teenybopper lol, so it's obvious I won't be doing that stuff.

I don't consider myself straight edge, but I have the same values. It's just because of the environment I'm growing up in. Everyones ruining their lives with drugs and alcohol. The sex part just goes with it because I'm a Christian.
