Yea, there are tons of groups in my school, then a few loners and a couple drifters, like meh ^-^ I've heard that at some private schools everyone is friends with everyone and there are no groups or anything... but that's obviously not the case at most schools. I go to public school, so I really wouldn't know.

Yep...at my school there's the popular group, the smart group, the dork group, the special needs group, and the kids that aren't complete dorks, and the aren't smart or dumb...I call it the "average" group. For me, I am personally in the "smart" group....smart is like 3.5 gpa or more (I have a 3.9) but I have friends in the "average" group, the "special needs" group, and even though I don't want to, I have friends in the "dorks" too.....they are attached to me because I can't stand to be mean to people. So in a way...I'm connected to all the groups. If you asked the "popular" kids at my school, they would say that I'm a teacher's pet...just because I'm like best friends with one of my teachers...if people tell me that...I don't take it personally, because I know that they are just jealous....because I get good grades, my teachers like me, and I like them too. [That's my 2centz] signin' off.....qbgrl

I don't look to closely at the kids at my school, because if I do I'll realize that I go to school with the most ****ing idiotic people in the world, and then I'll have to stick a fork in my eye.

My school has it's cliques, yes... but we're all friends with eachother. Like, there are cheerleaders, and the preppies, and the goths, and the theatre people, but in school they're all great friends. In fact the group i hang out with in school is like a complete mix... crazy, interesting, great. It's our differences that bring us together. I think cliques will never dissapear because it's naturall to feel comfortable around those who are similar to you. But, it's good how we combine them after we've realized we're the same in the way that we act different. Differences, gotta love 'em

mine is, but it's getting better. our school is really divided by what grade you're in, and then there's little groups within each class.
most classes are pretty open, and not too clique-y. mine is clique-y, but people are realizing that we only have one year, so within the past few weeks, people are really opening up to each other. it's really great to see the walls breaking down.
