Explain to your mother that depression is often a fatal disease and that you need treatment before your condition deteriorates to the point where you might kill yourself. Of course, if you already are suicidal you need to get treatment immediately. Phychiatrists will clear their schedule to save the life of a suicidal person.

Thats what you need to say if you are serious about getting treatment.

No, I haven't gotten over it.

You should sit her down and talk to her seriously. Say, "Mom, this is what I am feeling. It has nothing to do with being a teenager. These are serious emotions that I need to deal with and I need your help to do so. Please believe me." Or something like that. Your mom is probably in denial and doesn't want to believe that her child is depressed. But it does happen, even to teenagers (I should know) and she needs to be able to understand that. But it's great that you're trying to talk to someone about it because depression is serious and should not be dealt with alone. You should be proud of yourself for going to your mom in the first place. Just calmly explain to her what you're feeling and tell her that it is your body and mind so you know that it's not just teenage hormones. Get a medical list of symptoms for depression and list them to her, explaining which ones you are experiencing. I think factual information would get her attention more easily.
