There you go making a poll which l believe is an incorrect way of achieving the actual results.why could have been like.. .l think there is only one religion .l think there is more than one religion
l am a christian and it'a our belief that without Christ no everlasting life thus hell is your destination.
The Moslems could die to prove to you thatg there's no other God apart from theirs and Christ is not the way.
..and so on. Now explain that.

I believe there is only one true religion, HOWEVER I do not think that, for example, celtic is going to hell. I am chritian but I'm not tipical. I think that no loveing God send people to hell. And I know that there is nothing you can do today TMRW or the next day that will make my God love you any more or any less. I can not say for sure who goes to heaven. one religion, yes. One way to heaven, no.

i believe that all epole have the right to think there own thoughts and pbelive in there own religonss, but if you look at it all religions are formed around four main ideals
1.Respect - for yourself, others, the commuity, and nature
2.Responciblity - it is our responciblity to take care of the enviroment and do what is best for ourselves
3.Honesty - lieing only creates contervse and pulls people apart
4.Caring - the good ole "Do unto others as you would like done unto you"
So if as a world wide community can reconize this then everyone will be better off.

dammit! if your going to make a POLL, ask a question and provide MORE THAN ONE possible answer! thats what makes it a POLL!
i'm fine with any religion that teaches tolerance, love, kindness, equality, all that sappy crap. as long as thats really whats being taught by the clergy. for example, the teachings of jesus, muhammed, moses (and all the other jews), the hindu vedas (except the caste system, which is hard to get around since its so central to everything about the religion), buddha, confucius, they all teach kindness and love and junk like that. unfortunatley, the clergy (or other people of the religion) are twisting the words of their holy books to mean that they need to kill or fight someone to be favored in the eyes of god or some other divine being.

I'm going to reply to this with two previous things I've posted on the "Is God an Egomaniac?" and "Satan" threads. I think all religions are most likely good, as long as you believe in a higher power. And, by the way, it's pointless to have a poll with only one answer. quote: I've always believed and I've said before that, as long as you choose the right between right and wrong and you do things to help others and realize it when you make mistakes and feel remorse for that then you'll be okay.
I'm Christian and I believe in God and I do believe there is a Heaven. But unlike most Christians (and you can call me a hypocrite all you want, this is just what I believe) I'm not all that positive in my faith. What I mean is that, the hindus may be on the right path or the buddhists or the Jewish people or anyone else may be on the right path. Just because I'm Christian and I believe in that religion does not mean that I'm right, you know? Another religion could be the actual true one. Or maybe they're all true and people who believe in Christianity will go to Heaven and people who are Buddhists will reach Nirvana, etc. I don't know. And that's just it---I don't know.
So I think that, if you're a Christian, than yes it's necessary to believe in God and have faith in God because that's where the religion stems from---faith. You still need to do the right thing and be a good person, but, if you're Christian, believe in God because the whole purpose in Christianity is that you have a God to believe in. Does that make sense?
But if you're not Christian, than being a good person will get you just as far in life. When you die, I think you'll still go to a heaven of some sort, though it probably won't be the Christian heaven (and I don't mean that the Christian heaven is better or worse---it's just there for those who do believe in God).
I know all of that was confusing but I guess my basis is that if you're a good person, you'll end up in a good place when you die. And if you're a Christian, than I think it is necessary to believe in God since He is the basis of the religion. I think that about sums it up.
quote: And, btw, I'm a Christian and I personally don't believe there is a Satan and I think we create our own hell. Being alive and on earth is being in hell. This world is the worst kind of hell you can think of because there's so much pain and suffering. I also think we create our own heaven (I just read Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven---I read it in one sitting, very good book and I highly recommend it even if you don't believe in God/heaven). Meaning, when we die, we'll go to a place where, to us at least, everything is perfect. And there's no pain, no suffering, you're just at peace. Forever. The reason I don't believe there is a Satan is because I think that we all have traits of Satan. We all sin and we've all done things that Satan would do or that would be influenced by Satan. So technically, he's not just one entity---just a representation of actions/thoughts/feelings and an empty explanation of why we do things that we know we shouldn't or why we feel things we wish we didn't. Of course, you can say the same about God. He's a representation of all things good. But, in the Chrisitan belief system, god ISN'T one entity---he's three rolled into one (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost) so I guess that's where it differs. That's just some of my wacky beliefs (I'm sort of like a whole sect all to myself in the Christian faith, I guess). I'm not asking you to believe them, I just wanted you to know where I'm coming from.
There ya go. Also, everyone fights. It's a flaw in the structure of our world. It sucks. But get used to it. If the world didn't suck we'd all fall off and all that jazz. ~WorthWaitingFor~
