Not caring about the dosage, I let the pills tumble into my hand. Swallowig them in mere seconds. Time passes leaving me behind. I fall to the ground, my face meets the floor. I laugh whilst getting up. Nothing hurts, I can only feel better. Hands shaking I know the effect is wearing off. I can't seem to find anymore to keep me at this high. Suddenly I lose my control over myself. It was never like this before. I have a very addictive personality. And, I became dependent on over the counter drugs, Tylenol, advil, ect... I had hit a complete low. I couldn't go 3 hours without taking some more meds. I am starting to change, though. It is very hard to keep up my sobriety, but right now it is the best thing for me. My parents don't know, only few of my friends. But I need help. I can't do this by myself. Have any of you gone through something such as this? Any advice is welcome.

Wow. I really didn't think I was making such a mess of myself. I have stopped taking all pills, and this will be my 3rd day clean. I have so much more balance. I am a bit impatient, but nothing too out of the ordinary. I have tried your suggestions of filling my time up, and so far they are working. *note Ts. I am so glad your attempt failed. There are precious few things we have to take care of. Life, relationships, and our health. Because, apparently too much of anything can be bad.

Hurly, I wasn't saying that to like underdramatize the situation. I am well aware of the much of what you said. The thing I am just trying to say is that while it's a big deal and bad... IF you are trying to destroy yourself by OD'ing it doesn't work when you use ibuprofen. the thing I'm saying is that it doesn't kill you. like, I was trying to kill myself and the first thing that happened when I got in the ambulance was that the guy in there was like, you aren't going to die tonight. It was sort of comforting for me on some level and I kind of thought it would be for her too... but you know what, never mind. Just ignore me... **shuffles off embarrassed**

um, thats a stupid thing to say....peeps underdramatize situations like these... quote: you can get addicted to pain killers tho right
yes, you can, easily. but most are um, different types than aceteminophen....such as codine (which is why i asked if it was in it because T.Y.3 is mixed with codine) or hydrocodone (vicodine) or percosets, etc. all of the ones i listed must be perscribed (except in canada IB w/codine doesnt always have to be prescribed) i havent specifically met anyone through rehab or AA that was addicted to aceteminophen...but i've met MANY pill addicts addicted to the others i listed. I'm concerned because people who start with low profile drugs like aceteminophen generally work up to others quickly...but trust me toughshorty, just because it wont immediatly kill her...over time, her liver will fail...and THAT will kill her.

Hurly, you can get addicted to pain killers tho right??? idk, you probably know more than me about it to be honest. B/c most of my knowledge comes from the psych ward when I was there. But I do know that you can become addicted to just about everything. Southern, I took 50 tablets of ibuprofen in an attempt to kill myself about 3-5 months ago. When I ended up at the hospital after my friend found me, I was told that while I wasn't going to die, it could cause some serious internal bleeding. I know that another girl in the ward took 100 tablets ibuprofen and she was fine... so probably you aren't going to die if you only do it every once in a while or over a long period. But it's still horrible for you. It can cause internal bleeding and even death. You should look for some help besides just us online and I agree with Hurly. Get rid of all of your meds and ask someone to make sure that you don't take them. Also, make a list of positive coping skills to distract yourself from when you want to take the pills. This can include anything you really enjoy, something as basic as listening to music is great!!! good luck!!!

alright, i've been browsing th internet all day for information about acetaminophen. Now, health wise, your liver is suffering so bad right now with how much you have used. I don't think u will do this, cuzz i wouldnt have the guts to, but u need to see a doc to check out your liver. u have to stop. u can't live without ur liver. i think smoking 5 bowls of weed a day would be healthier for you then what u are doing! you need to stop or its gonna kill you. i cant find much about acetaminophen addiction. i will talk to my drug counceler about the possibility of such an addiction and see what he says. for now, i'd suggest getting rid of all of ur meds. dont even take them if u legitamitly hurt, because that could and probably will trigger u to take more...plus i dont think ur liver can handle a normal dose right now... trust me, stop while u are still ahead...u dont want to be cracking out 5 years from now.....drug addiction is a progressive disease.... i wish i had stopped after the IB/acetaminophen abuse phase.........God only knows.....

I don't know about the last bottle of Tylenol, but this one has acetaminophen. Didn't see codine printed on the bottle. The kind I use is Extra Strength Tylenol if that helps.
