i tried smoking and i smoked like thrice so far..its nothing great and i don't anymore..

my friends do it fro smartness..thats the irnoy of the whole thing..at least do it for yourselves, not cause guys will notice you adn it looks smart..in my country girls don't exactly smoke so one glr smokes and a guy is all eyes for her.....

i can't stand smoking and i'd never do it, but i know so many people who do. i can't understand how people can use those "death sticks" (as my b/f calls them) to calm themselves down, or to just look cool. whats so cool about shortening your life and other peoples lives?? and smoking can be really unattractive. your teeth get stained and you get really bad breath. and you always reak of smoke. whos gonna wanna be around you?

My parents smoked all the time, and so did the rest of my family ... so I have inhaled a ton of smoke. In San Francisco, like, EVERYONE smokes. I inhaled a ton of smoke when I was there. I also smoked a cigarettes when I was really little, my Mom left them on the table so I lit them up and smoked them ... damn, I've shortened my life by a ton... and so have many other people...(I think, I rather have those 7 minutes back... NO FAIR)

And to your topic, I would never smoke. I seriously think smoking should be illegal, it hurts other people's health without their consent. There is nothing good that comes out of smoking, and you waste money on them. Why spend money on something that will kill or harm you? That's the way I see it. I've seen people die from smoking, I don't want to do that to myself.

medical marajuana is controversal, but in many cases, legal.

and if tobacco was made illegal, it would probably be just like when alcohal was illegal. people drank it anyway, it was just a bigger problem for police to enforce. people aren't going to stop just because its illegal.

I do not think tobacco should be made illegal for a very simple reason:
It is every individuals right what they do to their own body and mind.

Personaly I only smoke tobacco maybe twice a year, new years and my birthday. If tobacco was illegal people like me would not be able to have a nice enjoyable smoke every now and then. That would be ridiculous! I say no to regulations on most everything and especially on items such as this that people really enjoy.

As for pot..... I think it is a shame this plant is illegal. Not only for my personal enjoyment but also because it could legitamently help so many sick people. When I imagine the future I see marijuana being at least dicriminalized if not legalized all together.
Then again... I guess it doesnt really matter. Marijuana is illegal and we can still purchase and use it. If tobacco were illegal we would still be able to purchase and use it. Prohibition doesnt work, all it does is make your average citizen into a criminal for enjoying themself.

Well, if people smoked pot like they smoke cigarettes it would be a lot more harmful but usually people don't smoke it as often so technically its less harmful, but its still addictive. Pot is illegal for a reason, even though tobacco should be too, it kills even more people.

eugh i hate it too. when i traveled to the east coast we ate in the "non-smoking" section of this one diner, but it was just in a different room, it wasn't even closed off or anything. I felt like throwing up and I tried breathing through my shirt but my mom got mad and said that to stop because it looks stupid. :\

I'm pretty sure most people can find a better way to get drugs into their system. Inhaling flaming chemicals is just stupid.

I completely agree. My grandmother (who I adore---she's my favorite person in the entire world) has recently developed emphysema due to smoking since she was 16 (51 years). She is trying to quit and is doing a fairly decent job of it. I don't want her life-spanned shortened at all and I wish she'd never started smoking. Please pray for her.

I can't stand the smell of cigarette or cigar smoke at all. I think it's a disgusting habit and I will never pick it up. I also don't like having friends who smoke (though I like my friends so I'm keeping them) and I refuse to date anyone who smokes.

i think it was sort of weird the extremeties some people smoke at. i went to longs and they have the nicotine patches and gum in glass locked cases. i mean how sad is that.

less people die from drinking than smoking. that includes drunk driving. a lot of people know someone who died from someone else driving drunk, or driving drunk themselves, but alot more people, almost everyone know someone who died from a smoking related cause.

and what makes you think you will be able to quit after "smoking in your mid-20's"? what makes you think you wont get totally sucked in and be someone who smokes 4 packs a day (i have seriously heard of someone who does that)? yeah. major gamble. just like people who don't know they are alchoholics and think that once it starts they can stop it.

ah, i hate smoking. everytime i go to walgreeens i feel like asking the person buying ciggarettes why? when i walk by a smoker and their smoke comes towards me they should know that its disgusting. just give them a little cough or if youre walking with someone say somthing about not smoking to them as you pass by.

i hate smoking and i think the industry needs to be disolved. think, all that money you spend on destroying your lungs...then going to the hospital to have them "fixed." oh, if only they made a special tax rebate for smokers. we need to ban indoor smoking. its a vile filthy nasty disgusting schmelly habbit. get some gum instead!

My mom smokes and she has the scariest cough I have ever heard. It sounds like she's choking and it wakes me up every night. Her breath is awful. Her teeth are practically rotting. And the whites of her eyes have turned brownish/yellow. Ick.

last time i smoked daveman gave me a smoke and i puked all over the place, but that was partly because i drank 10 beers and i was drinking vodka like water.

i don't mean to make fun but i jsut got this sms and it says every cigarette u smoke decreases your life by 5 ins, sex increases u'r life by 10mins so do the basic equation and the theme is that a ****** smoker never dies.....

Smoking is the dumbest thing a person could ever do in their life. Why purposely breathe in something that is going to kill you? It was so sad because my old american studies teacher, had a wife who smoked and she was so addicted to it, she let it kill her in a hospital bed. They put her on one of those breathing things (hey i don't kno what it's called) and she would take a breath, and then smoke on her cigarette a little then take a breath again. She did that over and over until she died. People, think twice before you take even one puff.
