For those of you talking about health risk, your are only talking about 6.2% of women. And only 2.8% are having them because of their own health.
Only 1% are performed because of rape or incest.
And only 12.2% because of age.

Stop speaking as if ALL abortions are health related, there not, not even 10%.

Abortion is being used as a form of birth control. You are in all respects murdering for the sake of not having to have responsibility for your actions, unless you are the 6.2% for whom having a baby is unhealthy.

Now on the Issue of teen pregnancy.

Only 7 of every 100 pregnant women in America and teenagers, and that number is declining as well.
And of the 7 only .8 are pregnant because of rape.
That is pretty high however given that the average in the developed world is 4/100, except for Russia where it is 1/10.
The primary reasons why U.S. teenagers have the high rates of pregnancy, childbearing and abortion among developed countries is less overall contraceptive use and less use of the pill or other long-acting reversible hormonal methods, which have the highest use-effectiveness rates. People put way too much faith on condoms. Of course the only fool proof method is abstinence.

Sunset, I'm sorry but there is no way an eight year old can become pregnant. An eight year old girl's body isn't mature enough to conceive a baby. And I didn't say that rape or murder were good things. They are horrible, and I have sympathy for the victims and the victim's family that have experienced such events, but God can be using them as eye openers. Just stop and think about it.

I agree with rito. CreamerKitty, no, not all things should happen for a reason. Rape shouldn't happen, abuse, murder, ect. Those things shouldn't happen.

Anyway, I do agree with abortion. A good friend of mine was raped and she got pregnant at 8! 8! You should not become a mother than. So, she got an abortion, having a baby would have killed her. She was way to small. So I think, if you know you can not take care of the child, or that you can die from having a baby. I think abortion is a good choice.

Sorry, that'd be 8 weeks. And even then there is just the begining of dividing cells...a whole nervous system still needs to be made, and it's the most delicate system in a human being.
