So what do you think? Is it better to have dreams or is that just setting yourself up for disappointment? Myself, I am very cautious when it comes to dreams (as in hopes/aspirations, not the night-time thing), and sometimes I wish I could just let go and believe that they're going to happen. What's your view? *cynical dreamer* Bex

If we didn't have dreams, what would we have to look forward to?

Heyhey, you are only disapointed if you let yourself be. You only fail when you tell yourself you've failed. I set very high goals and aspirations. The way to reach what you or other people may call unrealistic goals? Don't give up, don't LET yourself 'fail' or fall short. Fight for it. Think about this...99.99% of all goals are attainable...if you try hard enough. Really think about it. There is ALWAYS a way to get where you want...it might take a ton of work and sacrifice and dedication, but come on, it's not impossible. It's cliched, but if you want it bad enough you'll get it. You have to approach goals with an active attitude, not a passive one. MAKE it happen. Fight for what you want.

Every1 is talking about dreams leading "paths in your life" and "helping you work for your goals". I think I am thinking of the wrong dreaming. Like SLEEPING, right? Lol. One time I had a dream about riding a four-wheeler through COSTCO while juggling socks, but then someone stole one of my socks and through it into the street and a duck ran over it in a car. Can anyone here juggle? Sorry, random thought.

Dreams lead to success. its definately okay to dream! as long as its unrealistic, or youre not willing to work for it. but, for the most part, if you have a real dream, even the laziest person will work for it at least a little bit...

Dream Away! I think that's a privelege in life that we dont appreciate enough. No one can take away your dreams but you...You choose whether to achieve them or not. They give us a great goal or objective to reach and only make us feel stronger when we accomplish them. Keep dreaming...keep striving...keep living live with a smile upon your face, and nothing will bring you down. - JaYofHM

Dreaming rox! (As long as u have multiple dreams) Sometimes they work out. And there is nothing better than when they do. Get a goal. Work towards it. Try as hard as u can 2 succeed, but even if u don't, take it in your stride. No biggy. Sometimes it's a major disappointment, but you move on. Dreams and goals are all that keeps me going sometimes. If u keep track of them, u'll find that many of your dreams do come true, but not always when u want them 2. Dream on!

I think it's right to dream because it helps you work towards your goals. I dream way to much though.

"Wango". That's great. lol. Yes. You should have dreams. Dreams make you who you are. Have a dream to go to a certain school, or have a specific job. Dreams keep people going.

when i read the title of the thread i thought it was real dreaming, lol. i LOVE dreaming. i always have weird ones like (real dream) when i walked with a seal barefoot into an ice cream store and i got a pineapple popsicle and the seal ordered a wango. *cross between a watermelon and mango, lol*. if u mean like dreams like thinking about weird things during the day, i love doing that, but i dont think that is what u really meant . . . you should CERTAINLY have dreams and goals! it gives you something to look forward to, but if u become too obsessed and fixed with what you think is "perfect" you could miss a lot. i really liked this guy at school that i thought liked me, and one of my best guy friends asked me out and i blew him off because i liked that other guy. now i see that i dont like the other guy at all, and i find myself asking HIM out. just make sure to think about things in advanced before you answer and dont just go along to your dream because better things do happen.

I think that sometimes dreaming about what you want for yourself can sometimes give you that little kick of inspiration to go after it.
