Why would the mods just close this thread? According to them the topic starter wasn't "serious" and this thread is too played out. Maybe she didn't mean to be serious (which I really don't believe for a second because why wouldn't she have said that after her controversial post?) but this had evolved into a serious thread that yn has once again shut down for reasons apparent only to themselves. I thought the point of the boards was to generate discussion not kill it. Why on earth would someone destroy a thread that people actually responded to in appropiate ways? You guys make noooooooo sense. peace

The post starter requested that the topic be closed. It was initially begun to spark some controversy and discussion on the boards, but since its creation, it just seemed to cause ill will and that ill will caused disruption of the boards. Thus, I understood her request and decided to close it. If you care to start a new topic about gay marriage where reasonable discussion may take place, please feel free. Also, I think it's worth noting that it isn't "YN" doing anything...it's the mods. The regular members turned moderating super heroes who seem to have been overlooked with the recent staffing changes...
No shenanigans.

Why debate anymore? California has already made up its mind.
