Joey, this post is about when you said that (not exactly but...) "men come off as 'god-like'...". Why should men come off as "God-like"? Do you know why there are more statues of women then men? number 1- (of course everyone can figure this out) But women are more pretty, or sexual to look at. So is that why women are "sex objects"? number 2- Because it seems like women have the "motherly" role or "protector" or "god-like" feel. So why isn't there Goddesses? If God is the "Protector" shouldn't Goddesses be too? Ok. sorry I'm off topic.

Men and Women SHOULD be treated equal. There should be a female president, ect. What's the big difference between men and women? Different sex organs? One is (mostly) taller or stronger, ect? It should be equal. And women shouldn't be "sex objects"

Ok to the point. But it's not the full parents reponsibility. Can't the the kids (or teens) make their own (right) decisions? I mean the parents should be involved, but it's the kids responsibility too. So don't blame it all on the parents.

(I'm so sorry about all of my mistakes... I'm not thinking correctly. But you should be able to understand what I am saying.) Smile

I don't think the trend is being bi, i just think the trend is coming out and admitting you're bi. there were alot of bi people before now, it's just now they're more comfortable about doing it.

and joey we all kno (or at least i do) you are not a saint in the sex department, and if you were i'd worry. lol

much luv

This is slightly off topic, but I for one am thoroughly annoyed with this trend. I cant even hug a friend of mine who is a girl or tell them I love them because as soon as I do I will be labeled as bi, which I am not.

What is really infuriating is that a lot of these girls are adopting this behavior for the same reason they spend hours on hair and makeup and lie about things like loving football: boys. The majority of the guys I know think that two girls kissing is incredibly "hot." So unfortunately, being Bi is a perfect way to get attention from guys. Why cant people just be themselves for once?

With age comes experience, bex, so I guess I do.

And it helps to have two sisters that are young adults as well.

You're completely and utterly naive if you don't think girls are becoming bi because of the trend factor.

In fact, you're just stupid, let me put it that way.

The whole thing with Madonna and Britney/Christina is exactly what I'm talking about; if parents aren't there to tell them that wasn't right, the girls will be like, "Oh, well then it must be okay to french kiss another girl."

You cannot see beyond your ignorance because you haven't really grown up and experienced things; I'm not saying I know EVERYTHING, but I do know trash when I see it.

And a majority of the people's views on this forum are trash. It's okay though, there's still time to change and gain experience, and that's mainly the reason why I'm here.

But I guess I am old fashioned. There are no more manners, no decency, no chivalry, nothing like that anymore.

And that's a shame.

Thanks CreamerKitty, btw.

Pfft. I agree with jendragon.

I do see your point about it being 'cool to be bi' at the moment, but I doubt that anyone would be gay, bi or straight just to follow a trend. I think that if girls do become bisexual purely because it's trendy, then it's just a phase and they'll find their true sexual orientation in their own time.

Joey, are you old enough to really judge whether the girls of today have so much less self-respect than previous generations?

I can't agree with you more. I'm glad someone on this site has a sense of morals left in them. Not many people are "old fashioned" any more. Our world to day needs a big does of what old fahioned is all about. Cool

Trends, whether they're clothes, music, movies, are all created by men, so naturally, men would be seen as cool and god-like.

And girls would be moved to "sex-object" status.

And I agree with you; I've said this time and time again. It's on my website what I believe (Bio/Testimony pages), and yes, guys AND girls do the sickest things.

But the root of the problem is first and foremost, parents. Parents are too busy making money for the government to tax away to be at home making sure their daughters and sons don't turn into little tramps.

Combination of things, but I generally agree with what you said.

Joey, what about guys? Some guys (but they won't admit it) have sex with another guy and a girl. Or what about (some) guys approving or applausing this behavior? Or what about girls doing the same thing? People do cr@p in this world that is "de-grading" but it's guys AND girls. I agree with you, it's number 1. gross, 2. to me it's "de-grading" and number 3. I agree. It comes up (or seems) to come up as a "trend". But guys AND girls act in this behavior. So it's not all of the girls "de-grading" themselves. But guys too. And maybe to some people it's not "de-grading"? It can bring up spmeone self esteme.

And how come if us women do something different or something (like this "issue") it comes out "de-grading"? But not with guys? I think it wrong but that's my opinion.

And Magnus, that's mainly what I'm getting at; the "trend" of being bisexual has resulted been widespread and to me, it just shows how messed up this country is.

Abercrombie & Fitch is trendy; Starbucks is trendy; shell necklaces are trendy; bisexuality is now "trendy."

It's not harming me personally, no, but that's not the flipping point.

...

Girls already have low, low self esteems as it is, and to exploit a lifestyle choice like this and make it into a "trend" for girls to follow...it's just sick.

Of course, if I were to post this in a thread that had a strong Christian presence, then the attitude of the replies would be substantially different.

There are no morals at all; and I don't even have to talk about "Christian" morals, but acts and behavior that are decent.

"Being bisexual" is not decent; it's destroying young girls and it's unfortunate you people are unable to see it.

...

And don't get started on the guys...society does in fact see them as ego-gods when they do stuff; but now my subject isn't about guys now is it?

What is so degrading about a girl being bisexual? How does sex with another girl lower your self worth more than sex with a guy, if it makes you happy? This is an honest question...I just don't see what you're getting at. I'm not talking about it being morally or religiously right or wrong, I'm talking about it being _degrading_. Love, Jen.

The mass trend of girls to suddenly go bisexual is harming more people than just me, I can assure you.

Like I said, I personally - with the person - have nothing wrong with these people.

Their choices and their "trends" are sick.

And please, don't get me started on the guys either, because I have gone against them before for stuff. It's all on my website, though.

And now, here's something you must have skipped:

quote:
I wouldn't let my son date them, let alone allow my daughters to date guys who would take advantage of their lack of self respect.

I agree that it's degrading how girls act like that so much now, but the guys don't help, and I couldn't help noticing that you don't mention guys' bad behavior.

How come it's cool for a guy to have sex with lots of girls, but not for girls to have sex with tons of guys? Who do you think the guys got that sex from in the first place?

Guys are also encouraging this degrading behavior, so don't just blame in on the girls themselves.

Socrates has a valid question though, why do you care if someone is bisexual? Is it hurting you in any way?

I'm not "huffy," I'm just sick of guys always blaming the ****tly behavior soley on the girls.

"But geez, get some morals people."
I just wanna say that everyone has morals, it's what makes us human...
Bisexuality doesn't harm society as a whole, so what's the big deal? My best friend is bisexual, wahoo, big deal, it doesn't hurt me, or her cats, or her family.

(and if i come off as "huffy and puffy", i'm sorry, didn't mean to ^^: )

If it makes them happy and doesn't hurt anyone else, what the f*ck is wrong with it (literally)?
