back to the subject
most people have abortions early in the pregnancy, before it's a fetus.
and as you pointed out it depends on other living things to regenerate (cells) and so is kinda like a virus in that it's parasitically using something else to live and regenerate. there's been alot of talk about whether or not viruses are living things, or to what degree.
they're kinda like sperm... something that needs the body to live, and has to potential to become a human. oh wait a minuet spermicide is okay, and all other birth control. That's a contradiction...
still i don't get the deal, why people can't just control their drinking and control themselves, or even use birth control is beyond me.

Actually, the embryo becomes a fetus after 8 weeks in the womb of the mother. The baby's heart beats on the 25th day for most, which is in the mother's first trimester. This fetus develops fingers, toes, has developing organs, and is ultimately dependent of the mother for survival. How is this being not living?

Not all children who go to adoptive homes are treated badly. Maybe you've had bad experiences somewhere. But at least the child will get a chance to live. He/she is robbed of that chance if their mother decides to end their lives before they come into the world.

It Hurts
Um.......I respect everyone's reasons for thinking abortion is right or for thinking it's wrong. But there's one thing that's begging me just a bit, I'm sorry but I have to say this because some people with their posts and all are making me feel bad . I don't like that most of the post I read said that if the baby is going to have mentally or physical condition that the mother should have an abortion
This is my reasons why: 1) I really do believe that kids with mental condition, do somehow, someway understand what is going on in the world and with them. It's just no one has really proved that, yet but that doesn't mean it can never happen. That kid who is going to be killed could be the person who proves it. 2) No one really is 100% sure that the baby will be mentally ill, the doctors just guess that from the picture they already see so the soon to be mother could be killing a perfectly fine baby without knowing it. 3) My mom's doctors said that I was going to be mentally ill because I was going to be born with a rare disease that would cause the child to be brain dead . They said that I could have a physical condition on top of the disease and on top of the mentally ill part. They said to get an abortion. Well, my mom and dad said "no" as you can see and now here I am. I have the rare disease + another illness, but I'm glad to say, I'm not mentally ill and I wasn't born deformed. Do you get what I'm saying here? I know you do.

Well.. Abortion is a big issue with you poeple I see. Well it's not really murder, because what if the baby has really bad health problem? Why would you want your child to grow up in that kind of postition? Or what if you were raped ,and got pregant? Sometimes abortion option is good if that is what happened. But if the person just got pregant and had abortion , I think that is wrong. Yes that is when I think it's murder. Poeple do what they must to fix things,and plus it's thier life,and decision.Not yours, and not mine.
I don't think it's right to do that in any given solution but I'm not going to sit here and say it's wrong either. I think it's the woman's choice and if she does get an abortion, I won't think she is a bad person, I won't think any less of her. Gee, that's so nice and understand. "Tough ****", yeah. Not everyone who gets pregnant wanted to. Sometimes a woman wants to get pregnant, but later realizes she could wait. Or she finds out her baby will have problems, health or otherwise. There's rape. There's so many situtations, that you can't say flatout that abortion is right or wrong.
just to let anyone know: about my poem: it was the conscience of a woman who had had an abortion. she is thinking about what her baby could have looked like. the thoughts are haunting her. then it tells what its supposed to be like when a woman is having an abortion (to the baby.. if he is able to communicate properly). and also, abortion is murder, not only carried out by the doctor, but by the woman who decides to have the abortion. and there is ALWAYS the choice to give up the baby for adoption. and if you cant have the baby the right way (through the vagina) they can give you a c-section. if you dont want the scars, well tough ****, cuz ur the one who wanted the baby!

first of all, what do you mean, voices in your head? how do you think we all came to exist anyway? but i wont go into that now. what i really want to know is, do you honestly think that Christianity, a religion known for promoting the well-being of our fellow man (and the reason why I, and probably a lot of other people, belong to this site), would, after 2,000 years of nonviolence, just say "oh well now its good to kill people-God said so"? Martin Luther King, Jr. was a minister. Mother Teresa was a nun. Do we notice a pattern here? i'm not knockin other religions, i'm just saying that i dont know why youd think we'd just start promoting murder- which is exactly what you "pro-choice" (anti-life) people are doing. we're not stupid, certainly not to the point where we'd think God is just made up or where we'd make our own opinions of what God says. no matter how you interpret the Bible, it says that killing is wrong.
