I didn’t choose to be gay. I chose to be happy. There is a difference. I was born attracted to girls. I always have been. Even looking back, before I even knew what gay was… I remember having crushes on girls. Yes, I could suppress these feelings and physically be with a man. But it would feel un natural for me. Just like it would feel un natural for a straight person to be with the same sex. I mean who chooses to be constantly discriminated against, hated, harassed, assaulted, and humiliated, and so on, on a daily basis by ignorant people? No one would CHOOSE that! People simply choose not to live a lie.

No one "chooses" to be gay or lesbian or anything else. No one chooses their eye color at birth, or what race they are at birth, nor do they choose what sexuality they are. (yes, I just hit two issues in one post.) I didn't choose to be bi, but I'm happy being who I am. My parents are happy with who I am. My friends are happy with who I am. If the world could learn a little bit of tolerance, maybe it'd be a little bit of a better place...

I agree! 100% Being GLBTQ isn't exactly a choice. Why would I choose to be in the wrong body? That would be stupid.

That's a great way to look at it... I believe that you love who you love, and if you are a girl and you love another girl, then so be it.
