Even if she is just doing this for attention or is really serious you should tell someone you trust. She might get mad at you but soon she will relize that you tried to help her not get her in any kind of trouble. It may feel like the worng thing to do, telling an adult when acually it is the best thing you can do.

Yes, telling an adult that you trust is important. And, soon! You can also tell your friend that you love her a lot and would miss her if she's gone - though, make sure to remind her that the decision is hers. If she knows that someone cares about her and loves her as a person, then she might change her mind. Also, the best help hotline I know of is 1-800-SUICIDE, which you should call...you might tick your friend off, but she'll soon realize that you meant to help her...it is important to help her, for her sake, even if she gets really, really mad at you and doens't want to speak to you. So nobody cuts for fun??? Ohhh, I am sooooo bored right now......
I don't know, I know people that say they cut themselves (oops sorry, burn themselves) for fun, but there is obviously something wrong with them that they do this. My ex thought it was a coold thing to do, everybody else could tell that he had some serious problems with depression and addiction. I highly doubt that "fun" was his real motivation. If you cut yourself for fun, you gotta have some problems. Hurting yourself is not something mentally stable, well balanced people do. I'm not saying that in a mean way. I was a cutter for many years and still get the urge, but won't ever do it again.

I cut myself all the time. Never on purpose, though.

She has nothing to be mad about and sometimes i think she is liying. The one thing that bother me the most about her is that she is such an drama queen. She is afraid of a fly. She has tarantulas as pets and feed them bugs eveyday and she is afraid of a fly? she over react on everything. So i told her that if she wanted attention she does not need to cut herself and that she should stop liying about herself if she wants true friends, and i kind of cursed her off
I find it hard to believe that she would cut herself if she didn't have some type of emotional problem. Depression is not limited to people that are poor, have parents who don't understand or don't have any friends. Anyone can suffer from depression, no matter how "great" their life may seem. Depression is usually the reason cutters do this to themselves.

I agree that she wants attention..but not in a bad way. If she is feeling really depressed and suicidal, this may be her way of reaching out and trying to get the help that she needs before she does something drastic.
If this is how she's feeling, she needs help. Whether that means telling her parents, yours or an older friend is up to you. If her parents would brush it off or get angry with her, it is probably best not to go to them first. She needs to talk to someone that is understanding, will not judge her and can get her help.

Yea, it's hard to say if she's actally wanting to do suicide, or if she's just looking for attention. If you believe she is for real, you need to tell someone NOW!. if she's for real she needs help.

Cutting has no correlation to suicide. And if she showed you, she just wants attention.
