Can I have breast cancer at 13? I did a self exam and I found a lump. I'm really freaked out. My family has had a really bad history of breast cancer and any other cancer. I can't go to the doctor because it's Sunday. So, if anyone can answer my question that would be great.

Im kinda scared too. I dont have lumps persay, but one breast is larger than the other, and it looks sort of stretched, like some vains are showing a bit. I dont know if its just hormones, or is just still developing.

I know what ur going through. believe me, i had that happen to me too. I cryed for almost the entire day!! Im 13, and I found a lump in my breast and i told my mom because even if I did had breast cancer I would want to be safe and treated than die because i was too scared to go to the doctor or tel my mom. I mean it is a very scary thing. I was shaking when i got my scan done!!! Well, in honesty, you could. But you said you went to the doctor, so hey. You'll find out. It could be completely normal. I know a girl with lumps, and they said it's probably just cysts. But you know, better safe than sorry.

Not probable, but possible. Anyways, I'm sure you'll figure it out, and the chances are slim.

I don't think there is anything wrong.It 's normal to have a tiny lump in your breast when you are still around the tween stage.It means your still developing a bit.I'm going through the same thing

the chances of you haveing breast cancer at 13 is VERY SLIM.

What the **** is that? It's driving me crazy thinking about it.

My breasts were hurting me a lot for an couple of weeks. I couldn't even touch them because they hurt that much. So my mom took me to the doctor and they checked it out and also felt a lump. I took the test and I turned out fine. My family also has a history of cancers like breast cancer, kidney and just the whole nine yards but I says it's not a big deal. I can't go on with live being worried about every little mark and pain in my body. I will go insane! I am the person, who goes to the doctor when I am dying, basically because I can't stand going and wasting the state's money on an exam that turns out to be fine. I feel selfish when I know that money could have been better wasted upon. When, things get out of hand then I will go to the doctor and worry but tell you the truth, if I found a lump, I would be like whatever. My mom hates when I to that but I can't tell her every pain that I have because I feel pain everyday and if I tell her everyday that I feel pain, I know she will think I am just complaining. So I learned to live with my pain, go to school with my pain, cry in the bathroom at school because it hurts so much, lol. I learned to live with it because there's nothing else I can do and I am not going to take one more test. They don't know what is wrong, I don't care what is wrong, let's just forget it.

I know this might sound mean but learn to live with it!

I went to the doctor and I'm scheduled to get a scan. He said it's not a good sign, but not to worry. My grandmother had breast cancer when she was 14 so I need to get it checked out, I'm going to be 14 in a few days. I think I'm pretty much done growing... in /that/ area. So, I dunno if it would be development.

GodsPrincess- Now that I think about it, I haven't had my period in a while... opps... eh...

After your period your boobs get lumpy..and about a week after your period is when they tell you go to go the doctor and stuff because its less lumpy....so...your probably just feeling something normal.
