I'm practicing abstinence. I intend to stay a virgin until marriage.
But taking away forms of birth control is completely stupid. Not every one is going to practice Bush's values and he shouldn't expect them to by banning forms of birth control. That's bordering on dictatorship because I'm guessing the basis of his stance on abstinence is that he's Christian. By taking away birth control, that's like saying America has to be entirely Christian and follow the rules of the Bible, as in don't have sex until you're married.
Also, I don't want to have children even when I am married. I want to adopt. So, until I or my husband gets up the courage to get "fixed" (visectomy, historectomy), I'm going to need that birth control. Not because I'm out having lots of sex with tons of different guys. But because I don't wish to become pregnant. And condoms are the only protection against STDs when having sex. Yes, you're not very likely to get an STD if you wait until marriage to have sex (and even if you do, you probably knew it was going to happen), but, again, not everyone is going to follow those ideals. Also, if you're the type to do "things" with your bf/gf without actually having any form of sex, it's still possible to get genital secretions from the other on your body and therefore the potential for pregnancy or STDs. So, using birth control and condoms, even when you're not having sex, is a good idea and this right shouldn't be taken away.

huh??? I'm assumeing/ hopeing you mean being forced to abstain? lol okay I think that it is unwise to take away birth contral. Even in a socity compleatly based in, say, christianity (ours is not), there will still be people haveing sex outside of marriage. Also, something that more directly would a affect me, and other like minded people. what if you are married, BUT are not ready for childern? looks like another thing Bush failed to think through.
