I don't believe in premarital sex, but I think banning contraceptives is a dangerous idea. I mean, some married people use them, especially if they know they can't afford to support a child or they have genetic health problems. It's called being resposible. And I also think that if I were ever raped, the worst thing in the world would be if I could not get the morning after pill. Oh, and another thing... the Pill is also often prescribed for other reasons than just as a contraceptive.. such as helping girls with really messed-up periods of bad acne. Would it be wise to ban that? I don't think so.
uhhhh WJ..... Bush is christian.... he has to keep up his christian valuse.... christians dont believe in abortion or birth control.... ever go to church??? they say it... well the roman catholic people dont believe in birthcontol... if kerry wins.... im gunna love this FREE THINKING country more then ever!!! FREE LOVE FOR ALL AMBER P.S. abortion is a choice to help yourself... if the fetus wasnt ment to be it woulda been at the right time to the right person

i think schools should be promoting protection over abstinence, because no matter what anyone says, its unrealistic to think that teens will remain abstinent. some will, most won't. not to say that abstinence is bad, if its what you believe, so be it i have no problem with that. promoting protection at least sends a message to protect yourself if you DO have sex. preaching abstinence doesn't even consider those who WILL have premarital sex.
I am sorry if this offends people but in my veiw obortion is very wrong. when someone has an obortion they are killing an inoccent life. and there is no doubt about it this IS a life we are talking about. I don't think we have the right to sacrafise another life no matter what. two wrongs never make a right and killing an unborn baby in my book is very wrong. I have a friend who had an obortion and it ruined her life. ever after she felt guilty and never really recovered from that guilt.
ok well.... sex is a big thing. i lost it to someone i didnt like or really want. he was just there and well ive been pregnant before (miscarried and thankful) just because bush is christian dont mean that we all are. i believe that we CAN have sex freely and not feel guilty. were sexual beings... FREE SEX and the feelings that go with it. bush has NO right to say that schools should tell the kids that no sex before marrage. if they do have sex where will they learn how to use condoms and how to get the pill??? i mean come on most parents tell them not to have sex and dont tell them about the pill or a condom. mine didnt. and what about their friends??? most only know what theyve heard... most think that a condom is 100% affective. NO ITS NOT! I KNOW! and come on... how much do your friends really know about this stuff... yes theyve had sex or they havent, some know more then others, some do it more then others... SO WHAT??? come on who knows more about it then someone that has went to school and studied it? so i think that no presedent should say if schools can only do abstinence or anything... kids are either gunna get the wrond info or the right ones... whitch do you want and which do you want for you futuar kids? AMBER

I think the day after pill schould be legalized, it's not the states decision to make what we do. Abourtion has been legalized for like fourty years, so how worse is the day after pill?
just for reference speration of chuch and state is not in our constitution.. go ahead look for it.. u won't find it.. u will find God though.. our country was founded on Christian principles.. seperation of church and state is in a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists
excuse me mr bush but are we not living in the land of the free? where we have the freedom of speech the freedom of mind. the freedom to be the people we want to be. Why should women be told how to use their bodies? are you turning to dictatorship? are you deciding that man has the choice of what women can do with their bodies? what allows for one single man to decide what millions of women do with their bodies. the one thing that they have control over. are you going to take that from women? tell me mr bush, does it make you feel like you have done something good? will it benefit you, or the world. or will it simply degrade the united states more than it currently is, and by its own "leader"? Tell me mr president, you need to have the answers before you speak of something thats not morally correct to every human being under the constitution.why mr bush, does our constitution declare a seperation of state and church if we are just goin to break it? we are going back on our own line of rules, our own statements, our own declarements of how to live life peacefully without combining church and state. according to you, we should rewrite this constitution. re write it along the lines of women not having control over their bodies, of church and state combining which forces everyone to follow the ways of one religion. people rebell, they always have and always will. but why make the rebelling greater? why not listen to the people and make a decision that will help the population of america rather than hurt it? I for one will be one of the millions ashamed to live in the united states if this is passed. I will be ashamed to be living under the ruling of a man that degrades women weather he knows it or not.For the first time in my life, and for one of the many times in history, there will be far more people ashamed of being american than there ever have before. We need to be proud, we need to be everything we stand for. I want to be a proud american, i will not hide my face because of a single mans decision.
I will stand up for what is right, and I will stand up for what I believe in. You will never have control over then human populations freedom if mind.
I think that abstinence is a choice that an individual should have. A person should be able to choose whether or not they want to wait to have sex until they get married or if they don't. It is a very personal choice and they shouldn't be influenced or pushed when they make it. Your virginity is something that you can never get back so I think that if you do choose to have sex before you get married, make sure it's with someone who actually cares about you and isn't just taking advantage of you. I have seen some young girls around the ages of 13 and 14 getting pregnant and I think that it's sad because these girls aren't old enough or responsible enough to have a child. If you get pregnant when you are young it can really affect your life. A lot of girls drop out of High School (or in two cases Middle School) because they got pregnant. Sex can be a wonderful thing but you have to think of the consequences it can bring. (babies, STD's and even AIDS which will eventually kill you) I think that people shouldn't have to wait until they are married because what if they never get the chance to get married? But I do think that you should at least wait until you are 18 because it is illegal if you are under 18. And when you do decide to have sex, be prepared. Have protection because you could wind up like the girls I was talking about earlier. I know that I wouldn't want to have to drop my education because I got pregnant. Would you?Think about it.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

I agree completely. What happened to separation of church and state?
*Devon* ~Don't question authority, they don't know either~
you know if bush is going to ban birthcontrol he shouldn'the shouldn'tbecause not all girl take it not to get pregnat and some girls just don't jump on every one they see. some girls like me have to take birthcontrol like many others to help with thier period..why doesn't anyone stand up for those girls.just because a girl doesn't take birthcontrol doesn't mean she is going out and having sex or even wants to. take it from someone who knows!
I am outraged by president Bush's abstinence policy. I feel that it is Bush's way of forcing his Christian beliefs and religion onto the American people.
First of all, not every person is a believer of abstinence, Mr. Bush. Second of all, humans will be human, which means people will have sex whether or not abstinence has been a part of their upbringing or not. ESPECIALLY the teenage population.
What we need most of all is sexual education, because it is only human to have sexual intercourse and it does not matter what is said, it's going to happen. Why deny people the right to sexual education? This will ONLY contribute to unwanted pregnancies as well as wide-spread STDs.
Not only is Bush wanting to force abstinence upon us - he is also shutting down clinics which offer people information about contraception (as well as products), and setting up clinics which deny women the right to information about abortion, as well. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
http://www.youthnoise.com/n/n155l2wow... we have some messed up people posting safe sex isn't safe. hello, if u use a condom u cna still get stds.. it doesn't stop u from getting them.. and everyone of the posts i have read has left out th emost important thing with this.. GOD!!! I am sure some of you don't believ in God and thew Bible but I can give you plaenty of reasons why you should.. it may not chnge your mind but its possible it might.. u can post and I will check and i will be more than happy to discuss God with you.. Abstinence is the only kind of safe sex.. pills, patches, condoms will only keep you safe for a little while.. besides your virginity is one of the greatest gifts you can give your husband.. and if you wait and your husbands wait there should be no reason why you will have to worry about getting STDs.. and as far as it goes with Bush.. i haven't heard anything about him banning all kinds of protection and I don't think that is true.. if anyone knows where I could find that info that he says that I would greatly appreciate it.. I choose to abstain and so should you.. read the Bible.. i am here to answer your questions... get your morals in line... thats it for now! God rules! Abortion sux and its wrong! Abstinence is the way to go!
