How can being true to yourself ruin your life? Let me tell you, I know how hard it is to always be pretending. And have you read this whole thread? Because it would seem that a good many people think there is nothing wrong with homosexuality. (I'm not trying to be rude or insulting to your views or anything - sorry if it sounds that way.)

ok, i don't want to be rude, just straight forward. you are an ignorant blind ass. marriage is a relationship in which two people have pledged themselves to each other. it does not say you have to be a man or a woman. it's is love that binds two people together, not a penis & vagina.
1. the world is already over populated. we don't need more people is it. people should not be degraded because they can't have children. they have feelings just like every other person. they have similar desires. more people in the world is not what we need. so who cares if you can make babies or not. as long as you & your PARTNER are happy, all is well.
2. lesbianism is natural. it was discovered that people who are gay use a different part of their brain. so it is natural for them. so what if they need an attachment. some people get pleasure in making their other half happy. and besides unlike men, who would get drained the women could take turns, so each would be satisfied.
3. consummation? some straight people are not even FULFILLED when having sex. like i said before, some people get pleasure from making the other one happy. and because you & i are not lesbians we don't know exactly all the ways they can pleasure each other. but there is probably more than one way.
4. can you define natural? because to me natural means what feels best to that individual. an to start a family, the couple could adopt. that takes care of the family idea. besides some people are just not fit to take care of children, & some don't like children. divorces should most defiantly be allowed. wake up honey, people cheat. people fall out of love. people are forced to marry some one they don't love. people beat each other. should someone really have to stay with someone like that, who has hurt them? no, circumstances change.
5. gay marriage is not illegal in every state. it does not say "hey lets go mess up the government" duh! it says "i don't care what other people say, i love you & that's all that matters to me". you said the U.S. stands for "for the people, by the people" well then if the people want gay marriage, then they should be allowed. gay marriage does not cause rape, murder thefts and cornucopias of other crimes. & the only time it does is when some stupid dumb ass is being a unopened viewer, does this happen. do you want to know why? BECAUSE THEY DON"T BELIEVE IN GAY RIGHTS & THEY MAKE THE GAYS PAY FOR BEING IN LOVE! don't believe me, go watch Borat, or Broke Back Mountain. see how the west treats gays.

i don't like rosalyn points or veiws and i don't agree with homsexuality but i have many friends who are bi i don't care cuz it's not my life there ruineing i don't sarcasim was ever played into this...and i diagree entirley about what she is saying!!!
I don't think criticizing lesbian and homosexuals is very nice or fair. Every one is entittled to their opinion,yes, but every one is also entittled to their own choices and way they want to live their life. If your reason is that "God said..." well... God would love anyone nomater waht sex, choice, or orientation they are. That is all. SANTI.
the general rule of law on this site is treat everyone the same regardless of batshit insane views. If you want to reason with them, in a fair balanced manner, lacking in dergatory comments and inanity then argue with thme. But if you can't treat their views fairly... don't waste your time and energy lampooning them. It acomplishes nothing

I am fortunate to have seen first hand the beautiful love between man and man, and woman and woman. I know of gay/lesbian couples that have practiced abstinence, wanting to wait for marriage for YEARS! The fact is, some of the points that Roslyn brings up are so ridiculous (Marriage should not be allowed after menopause??? Men never experience that, so THEY would be allowed to keep getting married to younger women, but those past birthing periods must die alone???) that I feel I cannot take her seriously. Also, homosexuals have been around AS LONG AS heterosexuals. They are perfectly natural. If you wanna go the God route, why would he create them if they weren't meant to be?

Right. We should give all of the kids in foster care back to their parents despite their circumstances. Rosalyn, my family is a foster care provider in our city, and there is no way I would give any of those kids back to their parents. I highly doubt (although I may be wrong) that you have ever seen an infant addicted to drugs, an emaciated toddler whose mom wouldn't feed him.
These kids should not just go back to their parents. It would be better to have them adopted by a couple, whether gay or straight, who can give them love and care rather than abuse. We have adopted one little girl into a lesbian household, and her moms love her. It is a much batter life than she had before.

I'm only 15 so you may not think I know a lot about gay marriage, but I have many gay and lesbian friends and even relatives. Just because they cannot have children doesn't mean that they don't need companionship every day. Honestly I'm hoping that this whole speech you've given is a joke because I don't see how anybody could possibly reason the way that you do.
Gay marriage wouldn't ruin America. First of all, there are too mant people against it to even make a difference. They can go on minding their own buisiness. Why do they even have to pay attention to two men or two women together? You don't look at a man and a woman walking together down the street and think "oh, that's right. we should all be like that" because it is so normal. But if you see two women, or men, it's not something you normally see, but is that really going to ruin your day? No. I don't think so. You're not gonna go home and take a shower with the toater, because I'm sure you'd be against that too. I understand your oppinions, and they make sense. The human mind is an interesting thing.
But yes, women can't have intercourse, but you don't need that to be in love. And if they want a child, they can adopt one. Which is a good thing as well. There may be reasons why you don't want it, but I don't think they are going to stop a woman from loving a woman, or a man, a man. I don't think there is anything we can do about it. Unless you want the world to turn into a dictatorship, if it isnt all ready doing so.

People hate it when people don’t work and leech off of others’ tax dollars, so why is this any different? When people decide for themselves, they ruin their own lives. It’s so much better (and easier) for someone with knowledge to decide for those whose own intelligences are limited. 3. Then how come rape seems to be everywhere? How come downloading illegally is up? Gay marriage is being fought for—and crime is currently increasing.
