What is the best age gape between couples who are directed towards marriage? A lot of people would certainly agree on 2-4 years as idealistic. I would beg to differ. For me, I would rather think that the age gape of more than 6 years and above, definitely has it pros. A woman needs the kind of man that can provide her with security, the kind of man that can guide her and lead her towards realizing the potential in her. To achieve this, the man has to be the leader in her life, someone who can provide her with sound advice, and someone who can be her mentor. Most women seek comfort in being able to talk heart to heart with their partner, and being heard and understood. And all these can only be achieved by someone who has had enough experience in his life and has passed that way in life. Hence, I feel that to satisfy a woman's emotional needs, which is of utmost importance to a woman, can only be achieved by a more mature manly figure in her life.

I think that the gap should be what ever works for you, as long as it's not illegal. Like my best guy friend and his girlfriend. He's eighteen and she's fourteen. Illegal. but they work together...
I'm confused... about life. and life hates me.

I really think age difference should not be an issue, I think if you really connect with someone and are in love with them numbers shouldn't be a factor.

I believe this is a better board. Continue the conversation if it pleases you.

I'm surprised I didn't notice this thread before...let's just throw the entire women's rights campaign out the window, shall we?

Well so what if he does?! You say that as if it's a bad thing.
And I would never feel pain / and never be without pleasure, ever, again / and if the reign stops, and everything's dry, he would cry just so I could drink the tears from his eyes...

Those who profess to favor freedom and yet depreciate agitation are men who want crops without plowing up the ground, they want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the roar of its many waters. Frederick Douglass
