yeah... sometimes i'm like, "hey, why do people judge me for being pagan even though i'm a good person?" people should know that religion doesnt affect your personality.

nah, it's okay. i cant make people tolerant, i can just inform them, but they decide if to accept my religion/way of life or not.

quote: There is a possibility that you could be wrong or you could have misunderstood something. WE ARE MORTAL and we are not perfect.
i know that. which is why i fought so hard against one of my friends because she was always telling me that i was wrong and she was right. yes she's a christian if you were wondering. but me and her are alot different. she went phsyco at christmas time because i was kidding around about santa claus. she has a mom that just believes that everyone should be the same. <barf> i don't think that and that's why her mom absolutely hated me. that and the other reason was because i asked "stupid questions" and was extremely opinionated. she defines stupid questions as the ones she can't answer

quote: Shamanism isn't new age, it's part of the Old Ways.
a lot of new age religions are old ways. quote: Are you claimnig to know everything?
no, for me it's like i keep learning stuff all the time. quote: Who'd you buy?
as in what author??? quote: Uh, some faeries are. Do you know nothing of the Celtic mythology? Lets see, Sidhe, trooping faeries, flower faeries, night faeries, fae, tree spirits...etc. Two of my best friends are faeries. And one has wings. Butterfly wings mind you. Perhaps you should have said not all were like the movie kinds. Flower fae are.
true. not all are the fluttering kinds. i just said that to clear up any possible confusion. (I love celtic myth, well my name speaks a lot) quote: On a personal note, I don't like how people have grouped all the spiritual religons into "New Age." What I practice is not new age. It is embracing a concept that all these crystal-hugging newagers have failed to acknowledge
oh please dont believe i'm one of those "I love you all!" new agers. thats just dumb.

quote: others turn to shamanism
Shamanism isn't new age, it's part of the Old Ways. quote: i took me 4 years to become one
Are you claimnig to know everything? quote: and buying many books
Who'd you buy? quote: *fairies are not the little fluttering thing you see in movies. in my religion they are nature angels.
Uh, some faeries are. Flower fae are. quote: anyway that sounds very confusing
It's because she said too much at once. quote: but it doesn't sound like a religion just more like a way of life or something.
It's because she described her way of life, not the religon itself. quote: it sounds like the big "open minded" religion that's supposed to take place during the tribulation
I left Christianity for this very reason. You're not the only ones who are right. There is a possibility that you could be wrong or you could have misunderstood something. WE ARE MORTAL and we are not perfect. If anyone wants to ask me any questions, I am a Dark Pagan. I read the runes (FUTHARK), sorta... I'm still learning. and I know a lot about Celtic mythology, including the fae. I know some about the Blessed Isles, though I've never been there in a journey and a bit about spirit selves. On a personal note, I don't like how people have grouped all the spiritual religons into "New Age." What I practice is not new age. It is embracing a concept that all these crystal-hugging newagers have failed to acknowledge.

i mentioned the fairie thing because some people think i believe in a sort ot tinkerbell.
new age is eaither a way of life or a religion, or both (like i chose). it depends what you want. its funny because a lot of new age belifes actually are from an old age.

fairies are not the little fluttering thing you see in movies. in my religion they are nature angels. - no duh. i knew that.
anyway that sounds very confusing but if it suits you, whatever. but it doesn't sound like a religion just more like a way of life or something. it sounds like the big "open minded" religion that's supposed to take place during the tribulation. except your religion doesn't prosecute christians. it sounds interesting though. kind of like the stuff i used to be in to.

it depends what branch you choose. some people choose to work only with angels or fairies. others turn to shamanism, or zen buddhism, or wicca. some people do a lot with divination, reiki, purple flames, and the chakras. some like to learn how to heal people. we all worship nature, believe in reincarnation, and believe that we have a purpose in life. its a bit disorganized, since so many religions are there. but thats what i like about it. i can choose to believe in some things and have more freedom. i personally work a lot with the moon, *fairies and angels, tarot, runes, candle magick, meditation, reiki, drum healing, pendulums, chanting, oracles, healings, crystal magick (which is one of my favorites), ghosts/spirits/celestial beings, etc. yes, i do a lot. yes, becoming a full-blown new ager is a long process, and even frustrating at times (since you may get lost on what to choose since there are so many choices). i took me 4 years to become one, and that was after reading and buying many books, after getting to know other new agers, etc. but after all the work (which never ends, since even after 4 years i am still reading books and stuff on different new age religions, even if i know about them),i get the feeling of being intuitive, spiritual, a healer, and even clairvoyant. a lot of people ask me, if a new ager can be christian. yes, he/she can. some of us believe in christ but do alot of new age things. i dont, not because i think its bad, but because i like having a moon godess, a mother godess, a warrior god, etc. i can be specific when asking for something, like if i want to do something involving divination, i ask for ceridwen's assitance, since she is a divination godess. *fairies are not the little fluttering thing you see in movies. in my religion they are nature angels. -arianhorn
