You'll be fine.

Don't perform any orthodontic work on yourself.

I won't even yell at you for reviving this thread because I've been there.

Take some ibuprofen.

Eat some jello.

Think of the amazingly gorgeous teeth you will have when all is said and done. Big Grin

I theatre we ahve to project and enunciate from the stage, you know, and last time Mr. Sweatmon said "your projection is good but i can't understand for the life of me what you're saying!"
I took out my rubber bands this time for my piece and he said "Perfect, just do that every time you get up there!" lol

Upon consulting several official government internet web page sites I've realized my GREVIOUS error. I have been misled by a rouge criminal organization's blatant lies and official guise. Medical experts such as John Ashcroft and Asa Hutchinson have determined that my now-withdrawn reccomendation is entirely ineffective and potentiates PSYCHOSIS. so keep up your work as a good citizen and stick to those Acetominophen and Ibuprofen based legal subtances that your liver will love accumulating.

What the crap is that?

Any ways, I changed my mind. Advil doesn't help. At least for me it doesn't. Braces don't hurt either. Iv'e had them for 4 years and I can't even tell anymore.

Having braces arn't the worst thing in the world. For one thing 80% of the U.S. have them, or will have them, and I've had it much worse. I had this disease that I had to get nine teeth pulled when I was eight, and there were no permanet teeth either. I don't have eight of my back teeth now, so I have to wear all kinds of dentures until I'm 16. Then I get surgery. And I also have to get the roof of my gums removed because there falling off or something. Now what can be funner then that?

I'm not totally sure what you mean...but if you mean the elastic bands to connect the top of your mouth to the bottom (fot improving bite) try stretching them before putting them on and then begin to stretch them less and less each day. My ortho assistant told me that it was better to wear them while talking to someone for an hour than to wear them all night. (Something about the fact that your jaw moves...) I just always kept them in so that I would get used to them...or I'sd just wait until the day I had to go to the ortho and then wear 3 bands at a time... If you mean like a power chain or the little bracket ones, try putting wax in between, it helps a little. Also I like motrin (ibprofin) or tylenol, but if you use motrin do not take on an empty stomach or it will burn! (Speaking from experience...) Also, if you do not have really sensitive teeth, use it as an excuse to make your family/friends be nice and get you ice-cream! They really are not that bad, I had them for 2 years (exactly!) and I am SOOOOOOOOo much happier with my smile! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

advil it is. it's unanimous
Braces AREN'T that bad. All the little annoyances are worth the great smile.
My sis was faithful with her rubber bands. She ended up having her smile and all that modled at a career fair for dentistry!

Deal with it. Grow a spine. I had braces, rubber bands, head gear, all of it. It doesn't hurt that much.
