Haha...wait til you get the power chains with the bands pulling your mouth every which way.
Lots of fun...but it'll be over before you know it. It's just a real pain if you need your mouth for something (like playing an instrument or whatever).

I hate braces. and thanks for telling me they hurt, i'm gonna get em next week of sonner. that's just great!!!

I have to get braces soon . Right now I just have the spacers, and I'm already in enough pain..and next week I have to get an expander because my jaw isn't big enough...this whole braces thing is crap.

heh, i remember the first time i got rubber bands.....*memories*....... but now i'm free of braces, yay!

Just take a hella lot of pain pills, it'll work trust me, and eventually you'll forget you have them.

I remember the second day of my braces. I was sitting in Literature class and we all heard this "POP!" and all of a sudden my teeth relaxed. The pressure of pulling my "fangs" down into place had pushed one of my incisors backwards so hard that the bracket coulnd't hold on!lol. So i had to bring that tooth back up to the front later on.lol

Sunset: Braces are far less annnoying then they seem. it only hurts when you get something chnaged and a good pain meds helps with that.At the end not only will I hvae pretty teeth I'll hvae the finest hands too! I couldn't bite my nails and now the habit is broken!lol

one stupid thing i DID do with my braces was when I first got them, I had an overbite and my top teeth would hit the bottom little metal square thingies. anyway, i was eating sushi and i broke them off. not fun. also, what charlieismydog said: you can chew gum, eat popcorn, eat nuts. fruit rollup thingy things are kind of messy same with milk duds but gum is 100% ok i just wouldnt recommend bubble gum. stick to chewing gum. i HATE eating soft bread, like in a hamburger or hotdog? that stuff gets in your brakets and you are there smacking your tongue in front to get it out lol.

i have had braces for a year and a half, and that stuff about popcorn and gum is bullsh!t. sure, gum might get stuck in them, but that is only if you like, stick ot on there for a long time. and you can allways chew sugarless. orbit is good. and popcorn? it gets stuck, but if you brush your teeth afterwords its no big deal. its not like you will break them or anything. i would just lay off of chewing on pen caps or other stuff you arent supposed to be chewing on anyway. See? pretty smile!

Well, My teeth are pretty straight, my dentist is a wacko. I hate him, he wanted me to have baraces in kindergarten. I know that you can't chew gum(I'm going to DIE!) Or eat popcorn (I don't eat much anyway) *sobs* The pain, the agony!

ooo, that sucks, that sucks. sunset you are getting them TOMARROW? 4 years? i have to have mine 2 years, so I should get them off before summer! whee! Luthien, try Advil and eat a popsicle. Sunset, your mouth will taste like glue for a day and it feels like you have food in your mouth that you haven't swallowed lol. it hurts to eat when you first get them, but the biggest hastle is eating. i typically get stuff in the wires...*sigh* how i long to eat popcorn without having to check a mirror... i had pretty minor problems so i never needed like the headset or anything, just rubber bands. The worst thing was my bite was sort of off on the SIDES too so on my right side I would always chew on the rubber band then it would SNAP. it doesn't hurt, its just suprising when you are sitting in class doing math and then you jump and go, "AGH!" lol. luthien, just take an advil. that really all the advice i have. sorry.

Braces hurt?! Great... just great. I'm going to look forward to tomorrow... 4 yrs of my life in pain. (I can't handle pain, even if it's a little bit, I know, I'm weak.)
