Are YOU really stressed? I'm sure yes. Everyone is. It's so hard to live in this world where everybody is pushing you to do some work and you just can't find some time for yourself. Take for example SCHOOL. They're constanly putting the pressure on us: all the time you care about marks and tests, and you can't have a little time off just to take a breath and keep going. School is the first place where you get stressed and after that it doesn't stop - it just gets worse. Because after that you go to work and you have a boss and he's just one more person that puts the pressure on you. Even if we forget about work, you still get freaky about RELATIONSHIPS. First comes: does he/she love me or not?, then: what does he/she means by this? and then: is he/she faithful to me and if yes, what's wrong? And all of these questions just spin through your head all the time aand make you even more NERVOUS. And what about PARENTS and RELATIVES? Aren't they making your life a little hell when they're consistently asking you the same questions about your future plans? And at All: Is today the normal teenager living the same way as for example 100 years ago? Why are we so unhappy, having constant headaches, caused by peers or teachers or parents or just ourselves? And can this get you out of control and even make you sick? Yes, of course. So, how do you find a solution? How do you keep your temper and HOW DO YOU FIGHT STRESS? Is it possinle just to close ourselves for the world outside and feel no pain? What makes you feel bad and how do you fight it? Share.

Well, what do you think - is tendency for life today to become more stressful or less stressful than in the past?
I think that in the past they were actully not aware of it. So their life wasn't that difficult. while today we realise what harm our psychological condition has on our healt, so it's a bit more complicated.
What do you think?

In my infinate wisdom and life experience I have found many ways to deal with stress. But, in order to be stress free, many factors are involved
First, you have to be organized and plan stuff. Know what you need to do and when you need to do it. Once you have gotten that taken care of, everything should be set.
Secondly: I found that excercise is one of the greatest stress relievers EVER. First, it is a mindless activity. You are too focused on the physical aspect of excercise to worry about the other things going on. Secondly, by exercising, you feel better about yourself, and therefore feel confident and more relaxed.
This final one may just be me: but nothign can relax a person like a nice cuban cigar. Sitting down, talking with friends and smoking a cigar is a great leisure activity and makes you appreciate the little things.
I highly suggest the first 2, but feel free to try the third if you really want.

Learn to say NO to unneccesay obligations like "Can you help me with __?" "Can you come over to my house?" Don't do anything that you don't have to do.

I ahve a lot of stress in my life, and it doesn't help when you are manic depressive. I have a few ways of dealing wiht my stress...but some of them just aren't the right way to handle. I understadn that, but yet, sometimes it just seems like a better idea. I have a punching bag...and I reccommend that to anyone. The more stress you have, the more you can't let it out by punching...you just aren't punching an actually person. I could sit in my room and vent by listening to music, and that helps a lot. And I could go for a run. But it doesn't matter how you get rid of it, as long as you can find a way out of getting too stressed and then getting depressed...then that is great. I think that teens have it a lot harder than our parents and grandparents. I mena, yea they can go through tougher situations at times...but yet, a lot of us teens have went through things we never even thought possible. But as long as we can find ourselves....and not lose ourselves in all the controversy and confusion...we will be fine!

Stress is worse today than it was 100 years ago. But you also need to remember people only lived to be like 35 on average back then and now people are living to be almost 80 on average. Yes I agree schools are getting rediculous with home work and all that jazz but it really boils down to each student and there abilities. I mean some people can handle stress by going for walks or reading a book while others go out for a drink or play a physical activity. Here is a tip i give to people who are dealing with stress, if you think you are under a lot of stress 9 times out of ten you are. Then you need to find a way to vent some people say they dont have the time but 5 minutes a day writing down your thoughs or sqeezing a stress ball is better than having a heart attack at 25. It basically boils down to prevention and maintenance. If you take time away from what ever it is that is stressing you out you will feel better fro doing it.

Its ten times worse for people who have depression. We feel stress constantly in our hearts and minds. We have no escape. No refuge. We are totally and utterly lost.
