interesting interesting interesting

teh stock market since bush has taken office has grown 48%
since its low point in 2002.
since Nov. 1, 2004, it has grown 10%
which once again proves the case for tax cuts and that bush is bringing America back into economic glory days brought in last by Reagen.
when will liberals acknowledge bush's competence?

Historically war is almost always good for the economy unless you are the one losing it. That is why the stock market is doing so good, not because bush is a financial genius.

No, it doesn't prove that. All it proves is that the market hates uncertainty.

I wouldn't.

I might shoot myself. (According to statistics of suicide.)

JUST KIDDING!!! WHOA, EASY. It's OKAY! I swear!

But anyway, I would probably just continue on with life. I'm more of a romantic anyway.

Red is right, China is rich because of Hong Kong (If you liberals insist on calling China rich, which it is not)

I will agree that Bush has done a good job with the economy ever since 9/11. However I don't agree with him giving tax cuts to companies who ship jobs oversees. We need to take care of our own people first then look elsewhere.

Well, China is rich because you buy all your crap from China.

Therefore, "America: Made in China".

why is china so rich? i think we can trace this back to when the idiot of a price of englnd held to a century old agreement that gave china hong kong in 1997, or was it 1998? anyways. that ave them at least a quarter of their ecopnomy if not at least half. and when you make as much of the world's products as china does you cannot help but be rich. and een when they are making the world's products they ware only slightly ahead of us.

Well, I'm not going to Asia anytime soon. Maybe Siberia when the week exchange happens, but they're still under rubles.

The yen, the last I heard, was slightly higher than the dollar. I believe that came out just last week, so I won't hold it against you if you didn't know, because it may have slipped under us again, right?

I am sure that those prices are for a 1/2 bedroom 1/2 bath apartment in the ghetto, which is just about everywhere, with plaster falling fomr the walls and a couple who has sex all the time next door. Well, that's nearly all of Russia for you. Those are for students, I pay nothing a month because I lived with a host family. The $30-$70 amount was based on what was recommended to me from the program, and my forming a close friendship with a guy from the US who studied (in uni already though), in Moscow as I was there at the same time he was. Also, when I return there I shall see him again, considering he's decided to live in Moscow (bleh). If you read anything of what I said, you'd realize I said "life", not apartement rentals. That includes shelter, food, etc. Lee, necio.

And, please, go there before you talk on it. It's the best thing I've learned so far.

And it is a better place than the US. Sure, you can get attacked by skinheads and the water tastes like some sort of clorox liquid thing, but the people are much smarter, more learned. I find it utterly hilarious when I go to the US and some people even ask me if there is a bridge between Puerto Rico and the US yet I go to Russia and they know where PR is, know the name of the capital, and know we produce Bacardi. THey also knew I didin't live in some sort of ghetto-tribe a lot of Americans expect me to live in. ANd the Kremlin/Red Square is a beautiful place I'm dying to go to when those idiotic AFS volunteers let me go.

I am sure you're right Celtic, no other countries currency in the world but Russia is valued lower than the dollar. Grow up and stop making bogus claims to 'prove' how liberal you are.

Another moron who doesn't read. I said "i've found" which means personal expirience, what I saw with my own lovely eyes. Unfortunately, I haven't traveled the whole damn planet yet to know what other countries lie under you economically besides the obvious ones.

Bogus claims? I talked to you on my life, apparently, biased internet articles make better proof than one's own expirience.

And lo and behold, I am in a thread of utter morons!

And, to inform you how cheap life in Russia is, you can live very comfortably in Russia with $70 a month. $30 if you don't plan on buying drinks or using the metro or taxis or buying much.

Without researching, so just my thoughts, I think that the pound and the Euro are the only currency valued higher than the dollar. The euro is far overvalued anyway and is in my opinion a ridiculous currency.

Red is completely right. Bush has taken an economy which was in ressecion when he took office, fell sharpley after Sept. 11 and is now in constant fear over another attack and turned it around. His tax cuts for the middle class, not the rich, have helped this economy grow into the giant that it is today. When the IRS is abolished and so are the death tax, capital gains tax, marriage tax, and many others, this country will be living high on the hog like it deserves to.

Your $$$ is still cheap. I want to have more Euros when I travel and more Pounds when I go to England, dammnit. I hate these exchange rates...

The only currency I've found that is cheaper than the dollar (from my expirience) is the Russian ruble. And, to inform you how cheap life in Russia is, you can live very comfortably in Russia with $70 a month. $30 if you don't plan on buying drinks or using the metro or taxis or buying much.
