stars beyond reach[A mighty lion, trapped in a cage,
Roaring in the unquenchable desire of freedom,
Faces surrounding it, taunting,
Laughing, pointing, poking.
It claws furiously at the bars,
Ripping apart the malicious metal.
Its outbursts gone unnoticed.
Its pain, ignored, disregarded.
The walls, the acid bars,
Closing, pressing in.
Pressure flattening it against the balustrades.
Taking away all it cares for.
Its freedom, its growth, its joy.
Its strength, its peace, its patience.
My compassion, my integrity, my faithfulness.
My gentleness, my self-control, my love.
And as the cage tightens around me,
I desperately cry out for help,
Attempting to break bounds,
Slithering, scarily solid bounds
.Realizing the something:
My desires, the stars I search for,
Beyond my visible reach,
Can only be obtained through one way:
Spring.
"I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along." - Psalm 40:1-2
