Funny, I was under the impression that the objective of WWII was to reclaim countries' status quo in regards to security and world power. Peace was not the impetus, fear was.

ooh I 've been skewered I will now take 17 hours to re-evaluate my life But a defensive war's whole point is just that to achieve piece. In WW2 the whole goal was not to kill krauts and japs but to return the world to to peace

Simple the agressors, those who harm the innocent are killed and then it's problem solved because those who made war are dead. Also I just read back and saw I never said what I would die for so to spell it out: My Nation Freedom for all peoples, of all races, of all nations My comrades in arms My family, my friends Peace and of course Love

There's an oxymoron for you. How can war achieve peace? The whole point of war is to go kill people. Don't get me wrong I'm not some peace seeking hippie/liberal, I'm just saying that war hardly ever achieves peace. A new government, sure, A religious change, sure. But i don't think in the history of the world there has been a war that ended in peace.
It must be lovely to wake up in the morning and understand everything.

As far as what is worth dying for, it's up to person-to-person. Each of us are different, and we'd die for different things. We were not made on this earth to be the same kind of people, and die for the same thing...which would make our life so miserably boring more than anything. Our creator, God, wanted everyone to see who they are, inside of themeselves, so that we can all decide what we'd die for.
What we are worth dying for may have some impact with on how our life is treating us, an dhow we respond to that part of our life. Or, we may just choose by who we interact with, on a daily basis. Either way, everyone has a different reason to die for, which is perfectly fine.

Burger King paper crowns, sandwich meats, Sharpie markers, floppy disks, checkers, Scotch tape, X-Files Season 9 DVDs, Liza Minelli, Paris Hilton's Sex Tape, cordless phones, Glade Plug-in Scented Oils.
Yes, it really would be pointless. But I would add Bonsai food, postcards and school text books.

God didn't die. Jesus died. I don't even believe in that and I know the story better than you.

I don't know what is worth dying for. I guess it changes from person to person. But I can tell you what's NOT worth dying for and that is patriotism, Bush(for example the Iraq war, people aren't dying for a good cause, they're dying because some assholes decided to go to war, and that's very sad). anyway...It's so easy to write on here but who really knows. I'd say like karategirl I'd die for the people I love.

I would only die if my love died. Without love I can't go on; it's what sustains me (sort of like vampyre with the need for life force). With love, I am immortal!

I wouldn't die for God because I'm not sure who or what God is when I've learned more about religion maybe I'd die for God
