I don't know if this will be a hit or not, I doubt it. But I figured that I would try. This is a thread about prose poetry, kinda like regular poetry. Only prose is written as mindless nonesense written in your own view, or another's view. It's mindless rambling about emotion and such. So if you want to try it, post up.

Example: Prose

Very moving notsojoey. This is by far the best poem you have ever written. Good Job.

Dark knight falls.
Anxious for the train.
Who killed the train?

Dancing in rain.
Singing with sun.
Touching the stars.

Boom
Flash
Pazz
Buzz

Who killed the train?

Here he is, the
Man who looks for mango
and chews on color

Why does he come so soon
after he already ran to the chair
for a taste of Green?

I can see him move closer
with a tree in his purple top hat
DARK!

(I'm not sure how open ended this request is, but hereSmile

Remember the first taste of Tori
the Snickers bar
and two bottles of Dollar Tree aspirin.
Or acetaminophen. Whatever.
Red hoodie, handful of bitter chalk from
a sock of Sad as Shit.
Wish I could feel like that again and I don’t know why.
Probably that I didn’t care who I’d leave alive.
Alive to live in my leave.
Love will ruin plans like that.

All my poetry is prose poetry. One of my most recent.

He Was God

Upon his hill so high, that little alcove,
laughing, coughing, and missing the point.
There he was - he always was, always will,
back it up he says, dead and restlessly.

He saved me once, yes, at that murderous lake,
sometimes that place, gets kind of empty.
He was looking for them - I just wish I knew,
what has been lost, forever his blind eyes search.

An abandoned dispatch, a platoon - bristling horrors,
old scratching branches on rusting recollections.
Stuffed inside that filthy hollowed shell,
a filling of sweet banality for the wicked.

Wise as they are, shaking heads - bumping shoulders,
cracking fingernails, poking holes in the dirt.
Smells invade my privacy, rotting thoughts,
garbage, gagging I cough and stumble.

Purity, an illusion for the weak, truth in lies,
the darkness of radiance draws me ever closer.
I smile, just almost within his feeble grasp,
an outstretched hand - brushing the rags of despair.

The dying exclamation uttered upon an ebbing breeze,
a shiver in the birth of time, a heartbeat.
Nobody is hurt, I promise to him with a bow,
teeth - an overexposure to cruelty and life.

The bottle did not help - the comfort of it gone,
so close to ruin, yet so far away from happiness.
He tried to leave, after all he had done for me,
do not take it away, one thing I believed in.

Trust my forbidden words - please, the burning coals,
far from the beginning, writhing in this cold misery.
So long ago I tried to leave, failing again,
a grin breaks my lips, the end has finally come.

I like these calm little moments before the storm.

not really I think we all have a purpose but we have a choice in how we get there. but if we really go on wrong paths and make our purpose impossible to achieve we become superflous and something (insert higher power of your choice at something) seeks to remove us or give us a new purpose in life. Religion wise I'm very religous but I really don't try to spread it out to other people.

Okay I'll post one.

In The Now(working title)

We are just mere mortal men
the past we can not change
the future we can not see
We only seek the fate we have
in this tiring mortal plain
always looking at the ground at our feet
never forward, never back
for if we look to the past to seek to change what has come before
our minds shall be lost to memorys long dead
and if we look forward to view what the future has in store the icy grip of death, the only constant in an ever changing world shall grasp us and paralyze us with fear of the life we have ending
All we can do as mortal men is keep trudging forward with our eyes at our feet.

I do. I post on the regular poetry thread all the time. Here's one I posted a few weeks ago, pretty recent.

Death's Massacre

In cold blood, she stabs you to death
Perhaps you are dreaming,
Perhaps it is death.
Can you see that spirit? Walking so murderous?
I cannot, for I am the murderess.
A mistress of evil, a psycho at heart;

If you knew how misery loves you,
You'd need it to survive.
Watch her commit murder, without a sound.
Wear the pain like a locket around your neck,
It will weigh you down,
It will choke you to death.

She was only three years to dead;
You took away her dream,
Of becoming all she seemed, her vengeance clear
Her adorning dream, was dead to you.
I saw you die, the news was good.
Death's kiss was sealed, with lettering in red.

To kill all of you, I'll want a wish
Take back my pain, my grin masochistic.
My sadistic ways, will they haunt your ways?
To take a nightmare, and make it real
A wish is a wish, a kill is a kill
Another time, another place.

Will fate find its everlasting place?
Perhaps I will die, perhaps I will kill
Though not real, I still feel.
As you died, I laughed in happiness.
I see the end coming, as a prophet myself.
Has the end come, or is it just a dream?

My weakness stills, my fears are real;
You are back from the dead, to avenge your kill.
Repeatedly stabbing me, I die slowly.
Breathing in the fumes of death, I mock your hidden weakness
You believe I am dead, but deep down inside.
I still haunt your nightmares, bringing you to death.

My blood runs deep, as cold as ice.
I still believe, that you are death.
Perhaps you are dancing, perhaps you are crying
But deep down in side, you are dying.
I was your love, your antagonist in hate.
You stole me away, from my frightful life.

A dream away, a dream up close,
A dream too far away, to believe in reality.
My reflection shows in the mirror,
It's merely my spirit.
I see myself smiling like the devil,
I've killed my prey, hunted the weak.

I wasn't a dream, for I was you.
You killed me inside, but I killed you first.
A mere drug, an intoxication;
I am nothing more than your reflection.
Up high on a hill, you will hang,
From a branch, God grew from lies.

As death kills you, I laugh sadistically.
I am not scared, I grin deliciously.
The cyanide is working, you're dying quickly.
My spirit still walks, blood as tears.
My golden wings, grow darker by the minute.
I see my spirit, walking restlessly,
Perhaps it is darkness I seek.

Midnight Shadow

Within the shadows I am at home
Throught this world I walk alone-
Only darkness, there is no light
I am a shadow in the night-
I live my life unheard, unseen
Throught these years, alone i've been-
I am a whisper on the storm
From reality my life is torn
My world, as a shattered mirror
Broken, twisted by pain and fear-
Nothing left , all hope is gone
All light within my soul is drawn-
As an angel, i fall from grace
I now fade without a trace-
I am alone, my heart is hollow
I walk this world as a midnight shadow-

I walk this world as a midnight shadow.
