YES! He has to. I will be extremely depressed if he doesn't.

Oh! I thought you meant that I would ruin the thread, not that the thread would ruin my HP experience. :P

It's okay...I haven't either. *cries*

JKR recently posted on her website that she, "always knew that Harry's story would end with the seventh book, but saying goodbye has been just as hard as I always knew it would be. Even while I'm mourning, though, I feel an incredible sense of achievement. I can hardly believe that I've finally written the ending I've been planning for so many years. I've never felt such a mixture of extreme emotions in my life, never dreamed I could feel simultaneously heartbroken and euphoric." Maybe its just wishful thinking but doesn't that sound like she killed off Harry?

The title is the Deathly Hallows. On your theory with Ginny. She, uh, isn't really an important character. If you read books enough, you can recognise what characters will and won't be used by the author. And I doubt she will be one.

Wow, this is the first HP book since CoS that I haven't been checking constantly for release dates, titles, cover art etc. LOL, I need to reread the whole series so I can get back to being obsessed and formulate better theories. And umm... what's the title going to be? (Yeah, I'm a sorry excuse for a fan, let alone a fanatic. All those years wasted) - I think Snape is working both sides. He killed Dumbledore because if he didn't he would have been breaking his vow and had died himself, and, to him, his life is obviously more valuable. What Dumbledore meant, I don't know. (Anyone got any insight into that 'gleam of triumph' in his eye in GoF?) I don't even remember what you're talking about with the broomsticks, more proof that I need to reread. I think in the end Snape'll be good, but I personally much prefer him as a villain; it gives him sex appeal. - Harry and Voldemort will both die OR Ginny will sacrafice herself for Harry and protect him with love once again. Either way, Voldie's going down. -RAB is Serius's brother Regulus Black... and I actually thought of that before checking the HP sites lol. Sirius is not dead. No real justification, it's just a certain river in Egypt. Sirius was awesome -Neville will get Bellatrix and finally avenge his parents... and it'll be a tearjerking scene when he faces her. Definitely. -I have a nasty feeling that one of the twins will die. But that would be awful and I don't want to think about it. And Ron and Hermione will both of course survive so that they can finally be an adorable completely disfunctional couple lol -Draco will realise the error of his ways but it'll be too late. It's Azkaban or death by death eater for him. And of course NOW I'm in the mood to check all the theory sites, but I'll just restrain myself for now. Is the release date really 7/7/07? JKR is a fucking genius, that's so magical and cool! Before I didn't want it to end, now I just can't wait for the conclusion.

I haven't decided if I am going to preorder it yet. I got HBP at Costco the day it came out for half the normal price...with no preorder.
