Thank you, Sunset. Someone needed to tell them that.

You know, I've heard rumors that this is quickly gaining popularity within the University of Colorado - Boulder community as a potential replacement for the fight song.

Risk, I really love it. It feels like there are a lot of emotions crammed in there. Nice.

The Path Found Trampled with steps of hope Crossed by paths of restless I saw this route in front of me And so grew the need to confess That I have not wandered far from my life Only two steps out of my way One for the unknown and the secrets The second to secure in my mind this day Above they flew birds of ten And lathered with grass below The ground stood still to hold my feet So I might reach to the birds that know I might ask the course of the brook How to judge the terrain of the life I took Might it be me that I had walked around And deep within the path walked found To the end I could not journey. Despite all the wanderlust and yearning, So I sat for a spell and warily drifted down, The road that is lost when the path is found.

Italian, I have often heard poems and have often cried, yet none have brought me to my knees in utter amazement. Thank God for you, Thank God.

This is one of my poems I wrote one day in class:
Did you ever know that once you set a foot out that door my heart broke into a thousand pieces?
Did you ever know that I loved you so much it made me cry?
I guess you didn't since you left me without saying good-bye
Was there another girl that you loved besides me?
Or was it that you thought that I didn't love you enough?
If so, I did I loved you so much that I would die for you
But, I guess that you didn't feel that way too
Did you see what I saw between us?
I guess not since you left me standing there
Also, we always said that we loved eachother but I guess you didn't mean it
Your friends always asked you if you were happy with me you said yes
But, I guess you lied because you left me standing in the rain
Wondering if you ever did like me or if you were using me
Because you loved me until you saw that girl in the hallway at school
By the way I guess I was just wasting my time trying to love you the best I can
But, I guess I didn't try hard enough
Everyday I think about you and I break in two I can't get your picture out of my head
I don't uderstandwhy you walked away when I tried asking you what I did
But, I understand why you did that now
You should of judt told me that you didn't love me anymore
That probably wouldn't help me anymore than this
But, it doesn't matter because all I wanted from you was just a few answers
Well I will say one thing you never did
I love you forever and for always
But, you don't understand
So now it's time to say good-bye

Escape
Nightmares are no longer hidden. They come to play in my mind. How do I escape? I can’t wake up!
Dreams are no longer possible. They are filled with pain. How will I sleep? I must escape them!
Sorrow no longer helps. It won’t help me escape. Why can I not leave? I will not cry!
Life no longer escapes. It drowns in my blood. Why does it still stir? I won’t forget!

This probably isn't considered poetry but I think I kindof need to get some balance back here. BTW I didn't write this. Out in Hollywood the paper money rolls They feed their egos instead of their souls A million here, a million there A mindless corporate dance Gettin' paid for ****in' off in the south of France They don't do the shows But they act like the stars They fly around in G-4's and suck on big cigars It ain't about the talent It ain't about the skill It's all about the silly stupid horse**** deal!

notsojoey, I have often considered a professional career on stage, yet I fear that my raw yet elegent style would be censored. Therefore, I remain an amatuer writing for the sake of art.
