Has anyone read The Song of Ice and Fire...I think that's the name of it. It's a series of books by George RR Martin.
Storm of Swords
Clash of Kings
-----------(can't remember)
Feast for Crows(new one!!!)
Anyone know when the new one comes out? My friends and I are dying because the books are so orgasmicly good.

Mercedes Lackey writes THE best books. Her Valdemar books are awesome.

For all you stupid homophobes out there, you should read her The Last Herald-Mage trilogy. It just shows how wrong you all are about homosexuality being "unnatural".

My favorite book by far is Fahrenheit 451by Ray Bradbury. Read it...it's GREAT! And the book I'm reading now is Brave New World. That book is amazing, truly shocking.

Those are both GREAT books... Has anyone ever read ANTHEM by Ayn Rand?

I think he got that idea after reading the book.

Perhaps. If you tried (and suceeded) to convert everyone to one religion, how long do you think it would be before we got a society of complete conformity?

You thought of BNW's society as good?

I never said that. Where did you get THAT idea? I just said I thought it ironic that that was your favorite book since the ideals in it are so far from Christianity, and you said if you could do anything, you'd convert everyone to Christianity.

You thought of BNW's society as good?

A society where kids are brainwashed in thier sleep to conform them in to mindless drones of what the society wants

A society where the populace is given drugs to avoid reality for the society's needs.

A society where art, wonder, and religion are dead

A society where individuality is repressed

A society where individuals are seperated in to classes

and Finally a society where freedom is deemed negitive (so the DHC tells us in no of the first chapters)

Surely you can't be serious about this society being positive.
