I am in a writing class that focuses on the history of England, and one of our assignments recently was to write a riddle in the Old English prose style. However, I am not much of a riddle writer, and I would like to know what all of you think, before I turn it in.

I am round as the sun, yet so much closer,
far easier to look at, but for some still high in the sky.
I am your dream holder, your prayer cup
you can see through me, and around me,
but only those who can truly see into me will ever know the happiness I hold.
I capture your hopes in my net,
but only if they fall through will they ever come to pass.

ummm....wow! thats really good! yikes...I really can't figure it out..I think this is going to haunt my mind till I either figure it out(probably centuries from now) or you tell me...!?

That is all I can do, I only modified the way of writing, and put it in the 15th century style, which is Middle English, Old English being the form spoken under the Saxons (9th century). I can't really help you on prose, I am french..

uh... idk. Is it a dreamcatcher? That was the only thing I could think of. If you are looking for it to be difficult then turn it in!
