Perhaps Figg and Filch are one in the same??? Perhaps they can change appearance like Tonks (I forget the name for it). It makes sense. Harry thought Figg was really unpleasant until she was discovered as a Squib - that was unwillingly. Had it not been for the dementors in Little Whinging, Figg's identity as a Squib would still be unknown to Harry and us readers. So the only reason why we haven't discovered Filch is because nothing has become necessary for him to reveal himself as Figg. Filch always seems to be keeping a special eye on Harry ('course that could just be because Harry tends to get in trouble) and Figg's job was to protect Harry while his aunt and uncle were away. So both are in position to protect him. This may just be a stretch and wishful thinking on my part but it just makes sense to me.

PS, I did notice the Figg/Filch thing. Maybe that'll be explained in the next book.

Dumbledore is a headmaster. The portraits of the headmasters are put in the headmaster's office. I think Dumbledore will still be able to talk to harry, the way all the old headmasters talked to dumbledore. Isn't that a thought? Also, has anyone else notices that Argus Filch and Arabella Figg both have the same initials and are both squibs and both have cats?

I know that, it's just once I thought about how much else Harry has left to do in the last book, he's already got a damn lot to do without my weird idea's complicating things.

Yes, but the plot can't be too not straight forward because Rowling said 7 would be much shorter than 5.

ehm here's a thought. Right so, RAB = Regalus Black. The world has pretty much agreed on that. I'm still not sure, it seems to obvious, but then again,I dont know. Rowling enjoys surprising us.
In any case, we have mentioned the locket, and said that Harry has had it all along since it was at Grimmauld place. However, remember Harry saw Mundungus in Hogsmeade selling off valuable things from Sirius' house? What are the odds that if the locket was indeed at Grimmauld place, Mundungus has got hold of it and its gone awol?
If Regalus is RAB, that would made the plot less straightforward when it comes to getting the Horcrux.
Just a thought.

Agh! This is so confusing. Too many information sources! Yes, JK did say that. Yes, Dumbledore is dead then.

I do think Dumbledore is dead. JK said a character would die, and she doesn't lie when she says things. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

"Is it possible for Dumbledore to return? I mean, that Snape didn't really kill Dumbledore but pushed a copy of him off the building with subvocal casting or something similar?" No, I don't think so. It would be too much like Lord of the Rings.

Totally agree. Brehon, my friend believes that Dumbledore is not dead, but that Snape killed an imposter. There was so much polyjuice in the school. However, I totally disagree.

Remain loyal to him, actually. But I was wondereing, I went to that website (dumbledore is not dead) from several pages back, and one of there points interested me. Harry thought he saw a phoenix fly from the fire of Dumbledore's tomb. Was this simply an illusion or some unheard of piece of magic Rowling has yet to uncover?
