...while killing Voldemort in the process.

But I sorta agree with Meagan that parents would be very angry if their kids read a book where the hero goes through all this s*** and then ends up dying anyway.

That's basically what I was saying. While I could always hope for her to do something crazy like that, I don't want to have hopes as high as a Harry/Hermione shipper.

I agree with Meagan. Harry cant be the last Horocrux. If he was he would have to kill himself BEFORE he killed the Voldemort in the body. Which would mean that either someone else would finish the job for Harry.. which would SUCK, or harry would come bak from the dead.. which is dumb, and then kill him. So i really dont think Harry is a Horocrux... I will not deny the fact that it would fit.. cuz Voldemort did murder someone before creating the Horocrux (Harry's parents)...
But Voldemort never expected Harry to survive the attack so why would he make Harry a Horocrux if he thought Harry would die seconds later??
..... hmmmm....

For the record...

I think it makes sense that Sirius' bro is RAB...but what do you want to bet that Rowling has something else up her sleeve to totally confuse us?

I highly doubt Harry is a Horocrux. That would mean that he would have to kill himself in order to kill Voldemort, the thing that we know must happen in HP7. This would totally negate the whole "Good truimphs over evil." theme that the books have taken on...plus, I think Rowling would prefer to not have angry mobs of parents with young children attacking her...

As for the whole Harry/Draco romance...in your dreams... I can't imagine that EVER happening. I do think that Draco and Harry will eventually have to team up in order to help stop Voldemort, because i do think there is good in Draco. I suppose that would be enough time to swipe the amulet...

In which case, it could be hidden in Sirius's old house, that Harry now owns. I'm gonna go back and look through the descriptions of all the trinkets that they found when they were cleaning out the house in book 5 and again the trinkets that Mundungus was selling in book 6 when I get a chance... (translation, when I get very very bored)

Ah, see, I'm not a harry potter geek, but I will say one thing. I knew Snape was my favourite for a reason!

You know, this book had some really great parts and great quotes. The "I am not worried, Harry. I am with you" line is so good.

Also, I think Sanguini is my favorite character. I laughed hard when Slughorn had to call him back over and have him eat a pasty.

Sure, m'dear.

It's kinda what Draco/Hermione shippers say with the whole opposites attract.

Usually in these stories, Draco goes against what his father wants and therefore must turn to Harry or some other prominent person on the good side to keep him safe from his father, Death Eaters, and Voldemort. Or sometimes, Draco acts as a spy (such as Snape). Either way, some animosity usually stays between them for awhile but as they are continually forced together, they realize that they have a lot in common (as enemies usually do) and fall in love. Now of course they usually resist - sometimes Draco resists more than Harry and other times Harry resists more - because of all the consequences (they are supposed to hate each other, what will their friends think, is it more than just physical attraction, etc.) but they can't resist because of the mutual love and attraction and end up together anyway.

The very best Harry/Draco story I have ever read is Underwater Light by Maya (http://www.schnoogle.com/authors/maya/UL01.html). It isn't focused solely on them, though it is through their eyes most of the time, and it goes through the last like year or two maybe of Hogwarts. They become friends first and later more than that. It's really long but it is finished now (22 chapters) and the writing is absolutely spectacular. I especially love the way she wrote Draco's character.

It's a good pairing when done right. If you have any other questions, feel free. I've read TONS of Harry/Draco fics so I feel I'm a pretty good source on the ship.

Ok, so I'm confused, worth. Do you want Harry and Draco to have a romantic relationship?

Kinda. Whenever I read Harry Potter fan fiction, I don't read anything but fics revolving around a Harry/Draco relationship. It's just a weird thing about me. But, with so much controversy over the magic parts of the books, I sincerely doubt that Jo will ever ever ever include a homosexual relationship in the next book. Especially since they are supposed to be for kids to read as well...you know parents would form a mob and burn down her house if she did.

I liked this book a lot, but it seemed like its main purpose was preparing us readers for the next and last one. I don't think that Harry will have to kill himself at the end of the last book ( that seems really extreme and would make a lot of people including me very sad) but maybe will have to give up his magical powers in order to defeat Voldemort. But then I think about the whole Horcrux thing and get confused. Also, Harry said that he won't bereturning to Hogwarts. Does that mean that he won't get his diploma type thing? Not that he'll really need to get work, of courese, he'e too famous/ accomplished to be jobless...I think... I'm getting a little off topic...

I tihink Harry is a Horcrux. I mean think of it, they say Voldemort "died" when he killed Harry, and he had just committed murder twice. Harry is a Gryffindor, a true Gryffindor to pull the sword out of the hat in book 2, so that's like him "belonging" to Gryffindor. In the 7th book, sadly, I think that Harry will kill Voldemort and then have to kill himself for Voldemort to properly die.

I was so upset by the end of the book... I cried a little... I felt so betrayed...
