I suppose I should answer my own question about inspiration.

I usually get inspired when I'm outside at night looking at the stars. It always helps me to look at the sky for some reason. Ever since I was little I always lay outside and just watch the stars in silence. It just makes me feel so much better. Although, most of the times, inspiration just comes out of nowhere for me. I use to always carry a notebook and pencil because it would happen in the oddest times. I'd be walking in school and them BAM! Inspiration would come out of nowhere and hit me in the face...well, not really hit me per se, but you get my point. My English teacher from my junior year in high school use to love my poetry for some reason, so he would understand me. Sometimes I'd come to his class late(his class was in between lunch time) because I'd be somewhere on campus writing what had suddenly come to my head, and he would be okay with it. There was a time in my life when I was almost always writing poetry, but I find it more difficult to get inspired now for some reason. I suppose it will come to me when it has to.

Snakes are cool. I love how they move. Mesmerising. Except when they're Diamondback. Frown

Inspiration? Well, if you've read anything I've ever written its rather random when it comes to short stories. I guess I get me inspiration from.... um.... I have no idea, ask Dana, she might know why I forced her to throw water balloons at war protesters...

I write short stories, and a little poetry. They're about whatever comes to my mind at the moment. Usually it's about different fucked up shit happening to different people, but based on things that acutally happen in my area {Losing friends to drive-bys, gang wars, etc.}.

I didn't know you wrote, Cap. Just about your life or poetry? What do you write about?

I first started writing because of some really fucked up shit that happened.

After that, things just came to me I guess. I had no real inspiration.

Nope, and I never want to either.

Rubbing my eyes really hard while they are closed and interpreting the visions I see when the swirls of color restore my vision.

That and music.

The forest is my inspiration. In it or near it, or even just looking at the hills. Sometimes stars, or the sun, even grass, or my cat. Any part of nature can inspire me. Smile
