Here's how this works: Someone will create a topic, and we'll come up with an improv poem(off the top of our head) to go with it. sad, melancholy, ironic, or funny. doesn't matter. just has to be a poem. i'll start: lyingBehind the smile behind the smile, the laugh, the grin theres the real face of that girl she takes off her mask when she gets home places it on her nightstand, and becomes real again her mask says shes supportive to everyone but shes lying to herself, while her mask is eating away her mask says "yes" when she says "no" her mask is bubbly and happy but she is sad and full of dread her mask is clinging on to her, starving for someone to change, someone to kill everyday shes lying to herself, and everynight she is herself until everything is changed and it is welded, she will be lying to everyone, including herself wow, that was stupid, but i couldnt think of anything, just at the top of my head. next: partying

Another WorldIn the corner of the room, In the corner of my mind, I am never really where I am supposed to be. At ungodly hours, my mind seems to drift in and out of succession, But I find myself wandering in the most exotic of places. Sometimes I am conquering my fear at the highest mountain peaks, Sometimes I am out on the prarie, feeding my will to survive. Sometimes, I'm just in your arms, Sometimes.... Sometimes.... Sometimes, Just sometimes I'm in another world. Next topic: Plays

Thrills bring chills As I look up to its fiery eyes Swirls of fury and hatred reside Like a flower I wilt in its grasp I see myself shrinking As my helpless feelings start thinking Its black shadow effortlessly covers me I find myself shaking My once courageous heart is breaking The monster grows and growls And I wonder how long I'll survive Tonight I'll desperately pray and hide As the monster burns what's mine.

WILLSI push through the pain, For I see the end result, There are days when I want to give up, But I don't because of my will to see this through, I can't give up, I don't want to give up, I wont because I am the first, I am the first because of my strong will. Next topic: Fear

Silence. Motions of a gun An inexistential one Hearing without ears A gunshot of powder A man in black and white falling. Falling. Falling. An overdramatic motion Of an inexistential death. It goes on More guns More silent sounds More men in black and white Till Finally One remains The lone Mime. The one without a single missing wound. Next Subject: Wills

LeftoversHeart pounding, beating, wrists like ice. Electric fear surging through every vein, She flails in desperation, frantic, Dark rolling surf of muscle and saliva. Forcing her back, throwing her, swallowing. Yet she grabs a knot in the dark, a cord beneath gum, And holds, a moment from death The screams of the ones lucky enough to be swallowed whole Deafened by those unfortunate enough to be ground down by Sharp, marble, white, columns. And as she holds, A space between immense knives and a searching sea-serpent tongue, An opportunity provides itself, and through a gap she leaps, No time to think of the chances of surviving the fall from the immense maw, Or the chances of even making it out before being snagged And speared by colossal bone razors. Either would do, and a jump is a shot in the dark, and death is every alternative, So she flies. By some great mystery sails past gums distracted by other prey, Between teeth concerned with the death of smaller things, And like a stone falls to the ground, Though it is a rapturous fall, slow and lurid, To the spot she lands on the ground in pain, Breath gone Bones cracked Fear echoing forever She takes a moment of desperate reassurance alongside that fear To know she has been lucky, That she has escaped, That the terrible creature thunders into the crowds of fleeing people far off, To know that she is a leftover, and lives to see another day. SUBWAYS..tation Featuring Old Man John :]
At the subway station, discoveries are made People are crowded, music is played. Hear the delightful rhythm of bucket-drums Played by Old Man John, for any that come.
A dingy old hat rests at the player's feet, He's playing for money and a bite to eat. Singing his heart out to the bucket's thud, He could make use of any soap sud.
"Man, you're smelly", you guffaw and sneer But soon realize that payback is near. With the subway that is soon to pass by your face, There is sure to be wind that follows with grace.
A whiff of that odor can make you vomit, Oh here- it approaches, fast as a comet! Too slow to pinch your nose or prepare, You inhale the ever so fragrant subway air..
At the subway station, lessons are taught Insult an entertainer, you will be caught Dont chuckle so hard, just wait for your ride Cuz 'Essence of Subway' is on Ol John's side.

RIPPLES IN THE WATERI stand on the edge of a prestine lake out in the beautiful woods, I drag my foot across the soil covered leaves and grass uncovering a smooth rockm Picking it up and running it through my hands, I lift my arm to throw, And out it flows causing ripples in the water. Strange KissIt came almost like clockwork as if it was meant to happen, But then I think it shouldn't because he's the little piece of good I'm not supposed to have, We stare at each other but each time the other hurridly looks away, Finally, we catch each other's eye and slowly somehow end up together, I lean in with a swift little peck on the lips and then I lean out to see his expression, He chuckles and I see in his eyes that he wants this kiss too, This time we both lean in for the kill, Our lips touch and this strange kiss begins to unfold, I'll admit, it was good, But it's one I'll never tell about. Teeth Set in roof of stone Stalagmites hanging in a cave Icicles frozen beneath a frozen place Jagged, hard, and sharp. Knives in a stomach, Stab wounds left by a killer Made by the tools of a hunter Who sharpens them daily On a grinding stone almost as hard As the teeth of the beast itself Who uses them mercilessly Candidly, quickly, ferociously To rip, tear, and maim; Claim a place in this land Where power is teeth. If you have some, you can kill, How much, it depends. You can take a razor and slice a ribbon of skin away Or take a spear and make a gaping hole, aching and dark And use a machine gun to pump thousands of your mean little teeth Into the people standing in the darkness Viciously, unfairly, absolutely effectively Your teeth shining as you smile in supremacy Mouth left free of traces of red Confidently, ridiculously, terribly So bright you don't see the elephant thunder out of the brush Impaling you with one of it's teeth Breaking and penetrating the teeth protecting your lungs Justifiably, reliably, succinctly.
