I was once an 11 year old girl who had a head-throbbing, soul-tormenting seizure...the worst part I was awake the whole time. So I could see, and feel the shaking. I've had other death-related experiences, and they've all affected me in all ways...except in one- They just kept my faith in Jesus and God...in the Holy Spirit and angels alive.
Many of you may think I'm dumb and stupid to write this...and you may laugh at me. But all of you are afraid of believing in GOD because it's different. You may laugh at religious people because they are different and peace-loving and oh-so-******-uncool. But here's what I guarentee- they are laughing at you because you're all the same. DARE TO BELIEVE. DARE TO LIVE WHAT OTHERS HATE. DARE TO MAKE THE UNKNOWN KNOWN.
But if you aren't even a Christian, stay believing in your beliefs...don't neglect them...but stay away from evil. I'm NOT trying to sound like a preacher or someone older than you all are. I'm 15, and I've seen so much in life. So much, it hurts. I'm sure that most of you reading this have gone through scary experiences. If you want to kill your self-DON'T DO IT. I wanted to, and God stopped me all the time I tried to. I'm being so honest with you. I went through a lot of depression, and you know what I realized? This ****** world doesn't deserve your tears. This disgusting world needs YOU and only YOU to make the difference. My Mission??? To help all of you people who feel the need to kill yourselves, who want to go do witchcraft because you feel left out. I want to help you all. I've been through it, and have done it all. But God will show you the way if only YOU want to. DARE TO BELIEVE...

I'm listening to all of you.
I'm praying for all of you...

your post was inspiring and I just have to say that what you said has helped so many I am sure. you are alot braver than a lot of us.
it seems so easy to just let go, but the brave thing is to keep going. that is what we all have to try and do.
you have my prayers!

All i have to say-Stop trying to pass your faith to others...it's insulting..thanx for letting us know you care about our sould and all...but you have no right...because someone of a different religion would feel the same way bout you...P.S It's great you feel you have A MISSION...but to be honest when people tell me they have a soul/of self mission to others...are kinda scarey...well Goodluck.

God does exist... He lets all these happen as some kind of test to see if we choose to be on the good side or bad. And yes, he gave us free will.. although you can only be totally free once you take the good side because God=good, good=God.

If there is no God.... who pops up the next Kleenex. Heheh... love that quote. I'll get serious now, though. :serious:
Personally, I don't need the crutch of religion to be a good person and make right decisions for myself. Unlike a lot of people I don't need the justification of "I won't do that BECAUSE it is a sin." I won't do it (whatever it may be) because it is against my personal morals.
It seens to me that you are saying that the whole world will go to **** when we stop believing because you won't have God to base your principles on. I can be a good person without believing.
And I don't need you to pray for me. I'll be fine, thanks.

People are always saying, well if a God did exist then why did he let this and this happen?

God gave us free will, so we're not robots and we do whatever we do. And God allows some bad things to happen cuz some turn out to be beneficial in the long run, i.e. learning from bad experiences, more people coming to Christ, etc. But you know what, Christians don't have all the answers to why certain things happen. But I just trust him because he's proven himself to me in so many other ways. I probably would have committed suicide a long time ago if it weren't for him. So don't tell me he doesn't exist.

And as for those people you were talking about that just go to church on Sunday and are "horrid" the rest of the time, well for some people it's true. But let me just say that they're not walking the real Christian life. Don't let those people be examples of what Christians are really like. It's so stereotypical and one-sided.

What is there to believe in? There's no god, so stop kidding yourself, Ambition. Having seizures proves absolutely nothing. Why are so many people hung up on going through the motions of praying and believing. Plenty of people go to church on Sundays and are horrid people the rest of the time. How does that make them any better than an atheist like me?
If your god is real and if he cares, why did he let me nearly kill myself? Why does he allow all the crap in the world?
Don't ask me to believe in something that you can't prove. I've been trying to find some kind of connection since I was four. I was a good little Catholic school girl. But then I finally realized that there's nothing there. So I dropped out of confirmation class. Since then plenty of people like Ambition have tried to "save" me. I don't need or want saving. I want to be left alone.
Open your eyes, Ambition, and take a good look at the real world, not the little fantasy land that you've dreamed up for yourself. Where's god and his salvation? It doesn't exist. And even if your god did exist, he doesn;t give a **** about us because the human race is to far gone and corrupted to bother with

DARE TO MAKE THE UNKNOWN KNOWN.

In the secular world, we refer to that as faith, which is ultimately believing what cannot be proven.

Christians are not in the minority.

Ambition, you're heart is in the right place, just not your mind. We can make our lives better without god's help.

I believe in God and all but how do you know that there is even an afterlife? From everything that I have heard and the way others make it sound, I feel like I am a bad person because I don't go to church every Sunday but I still believe in a higher power. If you believe in a "God" and worship that "God" in your own way, regardless of how you do it (going to church or not, etc) will you still go to Heaven or will your soul be in the eternal depths of Hell?

I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize. My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for wha

First of all, I respect you all...I truely do...but where I'm living religion is so not acceptable. I didn't mean that you aren't peace-loving and only people who believe in God are...but when God is loved...God loves you, and in the after life - you'll see that he truely exists

First off, I'm sorry about your near-death experiences, but surviving near-death experiences is simply not proof of a higher power. There's too many right-on-the-money death experiences for that to work.

No, not believing in God is different. Being an Atheist requires great courage, as you are both disbelieving such appealing concepts at a great force watching you and and an afterlife and going against the tide.

I'm both anti-religion and peace-loving. Rather than contradicting one another, they often go hand in hand. And I repeat, religion is much more "in" than a lack thereof, even among youth.

DARE TO LIVE WHAT OTHERS HATE.

Again, you're talking about Agnosticism and Atheism, not Christianity. Unless, of course, you're talking about Islamic extremism.

In any case, I invite (or "dare", if you will) you all to think for yourselves, and give honest thought to why you believe what you believe and what you think will come of it. If your answer to the former is "because it's true," then please analyze it further.

Even though it doesn't always seem like it, I do believe in a higher power, just not in organized religion.

A lot of people on these boards also seem to be very secure in their beliefs as well.
