Raceim hurts especially when it's in your own family. My Dad's mom aka my grandma is prdjudice against against basically anyone not caucasian. My Mom and everyone on her side does'nt have a problem with anyone's race or color, and they're Hispanic. Well my Grandmother told my Dad that until he divorced my Mom she would disown him. My parents are divorced and now my Dad never sees me. My Mom's side loves me to death but I still can't help feeling neglected. So the next time you wanna be raceist remember that it not only divides them from the crowd, it divides families....

I hate hearing stories like that...I don't feel like talking about it now...but I know exactly how that feels. Most of the ones now are cowards preying upon the dim witted to do the dirty work, but back in those days....I wouldn't want to be faced with that.

I kno what you mean. I dun have a problem with people unless their personality is bad. well anyways, Im asian or Vietnamese and there isn't many other asians in my grade but my friend told me about her classmates. My friend Thuy has other asian friends like Kathy, Sharon. Well, apparenly they're always together. There's people who don't want to "hang" with them and i think it's ignorant. Their teacher even knows about it and the one time she decided to be in their group for a field trip. Thuy had a birthday party and she invited most us asians but there was one American girl who was really kind. We had soo much fun! I dunno why people are so racist ya kno? They're only in 6th grade at the moment so i believe they'll grow out of it. Hopefully...

My grandparents were married in the 50's, and as you guys know, a young African-American man marrying a young Caucasian woman was very dangerous. One story that stands out most in my mind is one that my grandma told me.

She was cooking dinner for my aunts and uncles when she heard loud shouting outside. My uncle Eddie ran into the house screaming,"Momma, momma, there's all these men dresed in white outside!" My Grandma's heart jumped into her throat as she went to the door. Outside were 20 members of the Ku Klux Klan. They were here to hurt my Grandfather. "Missy," one of them called to her," have you no pride? Do you not realize that you are an abomination before God. God did not mean for us to hang around this dirty *** nigras."
"Shut up you," she screamed back. She was scared for her life.
"Now go on inside and get that ****** husband of yours. You gon on and get him or we gon come in there and kill all of ya'll. Your husband, your monkey children, and you."
My Grandfather, after hearing all the trouble outside, appeared at the door with a shotgun.
"Get the **** off my property."
"Now listen ******, this here is white man's land. Bow down to your masters."
"I ain't got but one master, and his name is God. And I only bow down to him when we have our one on one talks. You ignorant people probably never heard of it...it's called praying." And then my Grandfather started shooting in the air. "Now get off my property before I send you down to hell to meet your master."
"We gonna get you porchmonkey. Yes we will!" the KKK screamed as the ran off.
The whole time my family lived there was horrible. They were constantly on the lookout, because they were scared they'd come back to kill my Grandfather.

Racism does suck, for everyone. I don't think it's ever gonna end, which is sad to think. As long as people choose to be ignorant, and believe me they will, we will always have all those annoying isms.
