I'm deathly afraid of hypodermic needles. Once, a nurse drew blood from me, saying it wouldn't hurt. Oh, it did. It was, in a word, agonizing. I haven't been able to look at one since without flinching.

I have a phobia of heights, large dogs and being side-swiped while entering the freeway.

Cockroaches aren't that big, I don't think you'd see one from a mile off...

bald people. it's not that i don't like them, but if i don't know them, i get a little freaked out. when i was young, i had an uncle who was bald, and used to steal my baby blanket, and was rather rude to me.
jello. ish ish ish ish ish! it's wobbly and gross and...UGH!!! it's terrible when people eat it and it slurps...i'm creeping myself out now!!!

balloons because they pop and scare you, heights mostly because I've seen way too many shows where people fall, i'm fine as long as I'm strapped into something, and butterflies and moths...it's those markings on them, they are meant to scare predators, but they scare me too.

I'm afraid of spiders ... that's predictable, isn't it?
But then I'm also afraid of every other insect on earth ...

Fear of bats: I live in an old, drafty house. I have for as long as I can remember. Occasionally, bats will somehow get down from the attic into the rest of the house, which has, since childhood, terrified me. I remember coming across one in the playroom, I was maybe four or five, and started screeching "Mouse with wings!!" My sisters would torment me with bat stories, which added to my fears. To top it off, when I was 9 or 10, I was just getting out of the shower when I heard this rustling noise. I figured it was one of the cats, but as there was no cat in the bathroom with me, and the ugly little bat poked it's face at me, I naturally screamed like there was an axe murderer in the bathroom with me.
Fear of clowns: This one is rather hard to put a finger on. I've never seen "It" (the movie) so I know it's not from that. Mom says I've hated clowns, and people dressed up as objects (like a gigantic loaf of bread at the opening of a grocery store scared me so bad, that every time we drove by the store, I'd start to panic, and I was barely 2). I think a lot of fears come from bad experiences with what we're afraid of. (ex: my bad experience with bats has fueled my fear, even though I know, it's rather irrational to be afraid of a bat) I think bad experiences, even just one, far too often give us a negative image of the experience on a whole, even when there are different surroundings or contributing factors.
Oh, one more fear of mine: School counselors. But now that I know enough to mess with their heads, and give off the right body signals, I don't have as much trouble dealing with them. Still, I detest them and avoid seeing them if at all possible.

I have scoleciphobia: the fear of worms. I am scared to death of those things! I don't know why, but they really freak me out. I've had worm nightmares before. I like gardening, but I won't even do it with gloves, because I'm scared I'll come up on a worm. They really scare me!

I'm afraid of bats and clowns, those are my only material fears.
Phobias? Just claustrophobic, and even that's not so bad anymore (Madrigal choir helped relieve me of it, mostly because I had no choice).
