BJORK!!! she is an incredible artist, music and lyric writer, and all around beautiful person! her songs are so passionate with deep yet simple lyrics and emotional and compelling music using strings like cellos and harps combined with electronic beats and pulsing rythms...i have followed her career including her beginnings in her homeland, iceland, and her first lead singing roles in new wave bands in the 80's, her movie roles in independant films, and everything else about her. she amazes me and if i could be any celebrity i would be her( even though she's not really a celebrity because no one really know anything about her or her music, most people have never even heard of her)....but anyway, highly recommend her to people who like classical, techno, or new wave... -e.k.

Before I say who my favorite musician(s) is/are...you forgot to answer part of your own question!!!You asked "Why" this person(s) is/are your favorite musician...but you didn't say why....so grr to you! OK, done being annoying. Sorry there, just had to point it out.

OK, I have a few favorite musicians. My favorite being Rivers Cuomo of Weezer. Why? You ask...why this geeky guy from the group with the song about fish? I say because he can shread the hell out on his guitar, has written some of the most amazing music I have ever heard, and because he's Rivers. Just because he is who he is, so you gotta love him for that.

Other musicians I really like are John Lennon, Zach DeLa Rocha from Rage Against the Machine, Justin Sane from Anti-Flag for having the balls to make a not too successful acoustic solo album (and writing awesome music for A-F), The singer from Dashboard Confessional (Chris?) for being able to scream and beat the hell out of an acoustic guitar and manage not to cry while performing (go him!), and The Beatles for well, being the Beatles.
