I do know everything. You're just jealous.

You know, there are things called BOOKS, in which you learn new things and become able to apply those things to answer questions. That must be a foreign concept to you.

quote:
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

A parkway is initially "a broad landscaped thoroughfare;" thus, it can be assumed that a parkway is originally a road in a scenic area. You drive into the driveway in order to park your car, so technically the name is applicable.

What's another word for Thesaurus?

Lexicon, gradus, delectus, or concordance.
quote:
Why is it a "building" after it's done? Shouldn't it be a "built"?

Well, building essentially means "to increase or strengthen by adding gradually to." Many homes and businesses were named "buildings" because the families were constantly growing, as businesses were gradually strengthening. You're looking at the word ostensibly.

Why do we leave our cars outside and put useless junk in the garage?

I park my car in the garage. I put my junk in the attic. I don't know what you're talking about.
quote:
Why do we leave bank vaults open and chain ink pens to the counters?

Bank vaults are rarely left open unless there are empty. Ink pens are chained to the counters so that individuals who do not have one when the need comes may use the "chained" pen, thus being assured that it will not get lost and/or stolen accidentally by the individual who last used the pen.

You could've atleast made your own up if you were going to waste our time. You're not the first to realize those things.
