What is it really?to me also it's nothing.People talk about it like it's the best thing in the world.I mean I have had people come up to me and be like "Girl,I think he is the one for me,because he's soo sweet"and a week later "I hate him he makes me sick".You see stuff like this confuses me it really does, but my question to the world is:
IF LOVE IS SUPPOSE TO BE SOO GOOD THEN WHY DOES IT HURT SOO BAD ?????

We're (for the most part) teenagers! We don't know anything about love. Any relationships we have are simply practice.
We're full of nievities and ponderings about love but the truth is we don't have a clue, and can't possibly yet, because most of us just haven't reached the right level of maturity.
That's what I think anyway…

When you're a teen, love is usually a strong affection, or just a desire for sex. Or it could be infatuation, which is terribly destructive, and makes people do loads of stupid things.

As I've gotten older, I realize that true "love" is something that grows, like a field of wheat, giving back much more. It is really born out of mutual respect and understanding - not infatuation or sex.

Lack of respect in a relationship is a sure sign that there is no love.

Well, I think that love is something that people seem to come by easily these days. Or, at least they THINK they're in love. But I believe that love does count. If it didn't, how could any of us live the way we live? We have children that we love, parents, other family, friends, and those significant others whom we drool over. Those things are impossible without love. roll eyes

I have to say that my opinion right now probably is inadequit... becuz I am madly deeply IN LOVE... but yea it's all good. My views on love are like this. Anyone.. no matter the age or whatever can fall head-over-heels in love. I am 14 years old and I dont care what anyone says about it I am in love. So love happens, and theres really nothing you can do about it when it happens to you. Just let it happen and enjoy it. It may only happen a few times in life. Especially if it's your first love. I have been with my love for 7months and I know for a fact if we dont get married he will always be my first love.

but that's just my view

lots of LOVE

I hafta disagree. I think love still has meaning these days. I think a lot of people don't take love seriously or use "love" when it's really "lust". But that's not to say that love has no meaning what-so-ever. Love to me is still taken very seriously and is not something to express to any random person walking down the street. As for the meaning of love, I don't think it can be defined or explained....I think you just know!

My teacher made me talk to a counselor when I was in 5th grade because I said I didn't believe in love. Love is what you make of it.

The people you see falling in love a couple times a week are probably insecure. All it is is puppy love. I used to be that way and I rarely fall in love. And you're right, people can't define love, but that's because no one can! Now, not to confuse anyone, I am in love right now. It just happened this past weekend and I'm telling you right now, I've never been so happy in my life. But love counts for a lot. Look at your parents or your grandparents. How about your older brother or sister and their spouse? Look at the couples walking down the street. You really have to know the feeling to understand people. Life is so short and so precious you just have to live for the moment. Everything counts for a lot.

I think that love can be the most awesome thing life has ever given to us. If the person you love feels the same way for you. It kind of sucks when you hear someone say the words and come to find out that they played you and were lying to you the whole time. Something like that hurts a whole helluva lot. But when you love someone, and they love you back, well, that's the greatest gift on earth.

I gotta disagre w/ P.
Love don't count 4 Nada these days.
I know people that fall in love once or twice a week.
Most people can't even define what love is.
Love, while fun, is unnessecary. unless it's btw family.
Anything else.
Is B.s in my mind

I think that love will always mean something. This quote basically sums up just how important love is, I think. "How weak... where did our humanity disappear to? Where does the soul of man reside now? Locked away, inside our fear, the machine that perpetuates ignorance? In order to save humanity, we first must give a ****! We must respect ourselves as a free-thinking culture and procreate compassion for one another. Without compassion, man will certainly become obsolete."

- Edgecrusher

Love is compassion, love is passion, love is the most intense feeling you can feel for a human being other than hate, which is the polar opposite of love. I might sound sort of idealistic, and then you'll laugh at me, and then I'll be sad... frown But in all seriousness, I think love is one of the best things there is to life.
