I was thinking the other day about inspiration and I came to this odd peralax. Inspiration depends on some level of jealousy. I mean why do you all of a sudden want to do things? Why do you want to improve your abilities? And don't get me wrong I love the feeling of being inspired to the point of total change. But does this make sense?

Not really. Not all desire is from greed.

It isn't really jealousy, its desire. We want something, so we make it. We want to show something, we paint/draw/whatever it, we want to say something we write. When something is deired, we do what we want to get it.

inspiration can be from so many things besides jealousy. You could write a song or poem about being happy with what you have.

Accidents can also lead one to inspiration.

idk I know I'm inspired by awe, or beauty or by love and then there's my primary inspiration "that would be cool if..."

I don't think inspiration is always born of jealousy. Sometimes it is born of neccesity! "Neccesity is the mother of invention", we have all heard that quote....sometimes inspiration is born from compassion. For example, I was inspired to create a website based on my compassion for those less fortunate than myself!
